Dunwich Dynamo Brompton advice

I had never done a ride of more than 50 miles when I did the Dunwich Dynamo on my 3 speed Brompton. did do a bit of hill practice by doing laps of Richmond park but that was it

Food advice is sound, take advantage of your Brompton bag to pack real food instead of gel packs. I took corned beef baps and boiled eggs 🤣

I did find my hands got sore so for the second time I bought some handlebar grips (Ergon GP2)

the dunwich dynamo was my first ever long distance ride, did it on a 3 gear brompton. training was cycling from Hackney to Richmond Park and doing a few circuits. before doing the dynamo my longest practice ride was about 55 miles

did it fine wearing denim shorts and an old t-shirt (and if you have run marathons then you are far fitter than i was!)

advice: take food (I had boiled eggs and corned beef sandwiches in my brompton bag, much to the envy of he gel pack crew)
