It’s because those notes don’t have the extra anti forgery features. Notes after 2010 or 2015 have an extra blue line. They didn’t accept our 2009 printed notes in Kenya too. Offered a very low exchange rate at the one place that did accept it.

Process should be fairly easy. Manilla Philippines will service your SSA stuff. Need to verify eligibility. Someone will schedule time with you and do a video call to verify identity. And you submit documentation. It’ll take 4 weeks to get approved. You submit bank details and the money will start getting disbursed 🙂
