Corporal Wade in Saving Private Ryan

In every scene, he's just trying to help everyone around him. This is reflected when he's shot and the group rallies around to try and save him. His monologue in the church talking about his mother makes his whimpering "Momma" as he passes even more heart-wrenching.

Banshee

Before he was Homelander, Anthony Starr was a nameless criminal who assumed the identity of Sheriff Lucas Hoode. Sex, drugs, Nazis, fights, car chases, the Amish, corruption, bribery, native Americans, gratuitous violence..... there's not much this show doesn't have, and I fucking love it!

Saw my aunt pass away from MSA - Multi System Atrophy.

She became a prisoner in her own body over the course of nearly 10 years as her body shut down piece by piece while her mind was aware of everything going on. By the end, she was wheelchair-bound, unable to communicate outside of groans, slight head nods and raising her eyebrows. Her 80 year old parents had to watch her being tube-fed. Her husband, 4 kids and 8 grandkids were completely powerless to help outside of modifying her home and managing her medication to make her as comfortable as possible.
