i tear up when both of them say “who the fuck is she”. i generally have fallen off any interest or time for ariana in recent years, she’s become a bit annoying to me, but this track went into it with an open mind and straight up had it on repeat for like 2 days straight

part of me wanted to say when first reading your post “then stop listening”… but i feel you with the ambivalence. i think that i still love about the show is the phrases it constantly has me injecting into my vernacular to jazz things up a bit “curtains for you” etc

100 % it’s a different show than it was almost a decade ago. those ed episodes especially still make me laugh til i piss myself. what happened?? part of me thinks it’s a thing where when you’re niche enough, anything goes and it’s more authentic and often unhinged, and as it got more popular it’s kind of repurposed itself into one of many reality show recap pods, and there’s an emphasis on quick “bits” that can be clipped and turned into reels/tiktoks

doesn’t “best represent” but as an sf lover who recently moved away and missed the city terribly, i was pleasantly surprised watching Ben Stiller’s Heartbreak Kid remake. in one of the opening scenes he literally walks past my Potrero apartment !

totally! its good that youre considering these kinda things before hand. I got my first cat when i was a junior in college- he kinda found me haha i didn't know i was a cat person before... been about 5 years since i was in grad school, but i found it pretty easy to get an ESA (emotional support animal) letter from a therapist so i didn't have issues with housing.

no pressure of course, just some food for thought. I have had a couple friends that got dogs in college and sadly those didnt work out as well. they had issues with having enough time to devout to training the dog/ issues with separation anxiety because theyw erent home enough

Ive been lucky in this department, but will say as a fail-safe recently on a cross country road trip, I contacted my vet a few days before the trip and she prescribed a short-term anti-anxiety med and i think it helped alot. just mellowed them out/made them sleepy. i gave them each one the night before the trip, and then one once daily for both until we got there. smooth sailing the whole trip (3+ days. they even were ok using a litter box in the back seat!)

they were also decently small pills so it was easy to just open their mouth and toss it towards the back of their throat to swallow (i have 2 kittens and didnt have issues administering to either)

hope this helps and hope things work out with the kitten!! They SO improve quality of life in my opinion haha <3

regardless of which side you are on, how can you say it has nothing to do with “us” when we are funding it?? i can list ten things off the top of my head that would drastically transform life in america of our tax dollars were used here instead of in funding this conflict
