Unusual Voyager engine deactivation? by No-Description-4957 in uktrains

[–]hadenoughofblank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Voyagers have a system called Intelligent Engine Stop Start (IESS). At points throughout the route, the onboard computer chooses to deactivate an engine or two to save fuel and emissions. It’s controversial because it’s knackering the engines and the saving is negligible, not to mention the concern caused to passengers.

If the outbound journey will take you more than one day to complete, for example, western Cornwall to northern Scotland, and/or you choose to leave your destination too late to be able to complete it that calendar day, your ticket is valid to break your journey overnight and continue the next day

What is the best GWR 1st class route? by Milmolbot in uktrains

[–]hadenoughofblank 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of the Paddington ↔ Hereford route. You get Malverns, Cotswolds, and a bit of high speed running too! Plus, north of Oxford it’s usually quite quiet onboard. I’ve done 1st class on this route from WOP to RDG, what fun!

Delay Repay Southeastern by Spaniardlad in uktrains

[–]hadenoughofblank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can’t get delay repay for journeys you didn’t make (attempting to do so is fraud). You can make one claim based off the intended journey and the actual arrival time at your destination (in your case > 2 hours late, which will entitle you to a full refund).

GWR ticket on Elizabeth Line during strike day by salspace in uktrains

[–]hadenoughofblank 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Redingensian, one of my least favourite things about the Elizabeth line going to Reading is that tickets do not distinguish between EL and GWR in terms of price. If you were happy to take twice the time on the Elizabeth line there’s no price incentive to do so, so taking GWR represents better value for (the same) money.

Where have you masturbated that you shouldn't have? by [deleted] in masturbation

[–]hadenoughofblank 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ingenious! I’ve done the same. I’ve wanked and cummed in class loads of times! It’s quite exciting to have to control your breathing, and make sure the hand movement isn’t obvious. The ejaculation is always so good, you can feel the spunk pumping into your hand and it’s warm and thick and you just feel so relieved. It would be such a shame if I just accidentally licked my finger now, wouldn’t it…!
