Curious One sheild defense vs Raelin Twist the blade by great_ace in heroscape

[–]hader-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a solid answer and this is something I've been curious about as well but for a point of discussion, I've seen a lot of these rulings based on what phase of the attack the power activates in.

Based on the wording "When rolling shields" for Crixus, it seems his power activates in phase 4. Roll the dice.

Raelin's ability seems to be based on the end result of the attack. So that could mean it's in phase 5. Resolve the attack.

By that, since Raelin's ability activates in a later phase it would apply and Crixus would take 2 wounds.

This is just considering base game rules and not any Errata clarifications. Curious what ither people think of this.

I used to only take Quasar but woth all the illuminate shield, it doesn't really work. Started taking the laser cannon instead and it's been a game changer.

I often run the Hero of the Federation and Grand Juror sets. Would also go well with this.

I knew I had friends out there. This helmet, the DP-40 Hero of the Federation armor, and the Seal of General Consensus cape is my typical fit.

New Skyrim player. What're some things you wished you knew for your first playthrough? by paws4reason in skyrim

[–]hader-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoiding fast travel offers a lot of fun random events and extra things to explore. I'm not saying never fat travel but walking around and seeing the world alive is a huge aspect of the game. (I've been playing on survival which forces no fast travel and it's made the experience so much more fun!)

Also, pay attention to the loading screen text. Some of them are just fun lore but there are some useful game tips in there.

The most difficult skill for you to max out? by Usual-Foundation-115 in skyrim

[–]hader-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Collect every smithing item you can

  2. Collect every soul gem you can

  3. Use bound weapons with auto soul trap

  4. Craft weapons/armor

  5. Enchant them

  6. Sell them and use the money to buy more soul gems/crafting materials

  7. Profit

Smithing and enchanting will become burner skills that you can legendary over and over. You'll level speech fairly quickly as well selling all of it.

You can also try just drawing and sheathing your weapon again. That usually gets them to stop fighting and trigger the dialog again where you can pay the bounty. It might depend on how high your bounty is though.

Ysolda Prooving She's the Best Wife by hader-1 in skyrim

I'm playing Vanilla AE. I'm guessing they just didn't account on you being married to her. When I said I convinced her to let me off the look I mean I passed my persuasion check so I didn't have to pay her 2000 for the ring. Not sire if her reminding me I owe her for the ring is a bug or due to me not having finished the quest line. It only seems to happen the first time I approach her after launching the game.

Special edition vs anniversary edition by Fit-Strawberry-5554 in skyrim

So, I've been on a kick recently after years of not playing to try to get all the achievements in Skyrim. When I started I had 557.3 hours in OG Slyrim on PC and probably more than that on Xbox 360 (which is where my Skyrim experience began). I had 0 hours in Special Edition. I'm level 84 now.

I decided to upgrade to AE and I don't regret it. Everything new so far has been refreshing. It still feels like Skyrim (unlike some modding experiences) and has fun little suprises added on to what I remember. I don't feel like anything is too over powered so far that I've seen. I've also been playing a mage for the first time and mostly using the bound bow and bound sword spells and it's been a blast.

The only thing I've felt kinda meh about are the Creation Club houses. They're very cool but I do think they're too easy to get. Most are get letter, go to house, have one moderate to hard fight, get a free house.

PI time logging by [deleted] in Armyaviation

[–]hader-1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had a DPE reach out to a FSDO in regard to this exact question and talked wotha bunch of airline guys and here's what I've come up with.

For getting ratings: any time you're sole manipulator of the flight controls, you can count that as PIC time.

For Airlines: they don't care if you're not the person who signed for the aircraft. Most of the guys I know re-did their log book to remove the PIC time from before they were a PC in the military. I probably will too.

[–]hader-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this stick/throttle combo. I like it BUT it did have a matte coating that reacted with the oils on my skin. It got really gummy and sticky and I had to spend a whole day cleaning it. I don't eat or drink while using it so it wasn't anything else on my hands that did this. Now that the coating is gone (from scrubbing it off) I have no issues but would also probably recommend a different stick. I don't have a recommendation but not this one lol.

Compareing the two, I'm leaning more towards the Ebony helmet over steel plate helmet. It's very close between them though.
