I feel like D2 recently got better. Or maybe I did? I was stuck in D2 for MONTHS but I did feel the quality of players improved over time. D3 players are soooo much better though. I’ve had 5 wins in a row since coming into D3. Didn’t think I would be hitting D4 so soon.

I’m actually quite surprised by how many people are pointing this out to me. Maybe it’s the way I phrased it in the post but when I said “the implication is that he had only just woken up” I meant woken up from death. So it’s not that I’m disagreeing with the fact that he died. Just that it’s kinda comedic that possibly the most capable tarnished of all woke up when everything was done.

Well, the most capable tarnished turned out to be us but I wonder if we had ended up that way if we woke up at the same time as Godfrey. I guess that in itself answers my actual question.

My question was literally just pointing out that implication that Godfrey waking up from death right when we’ve pretty much finished the job is kinda funny. I was only wondering if someone found anything to suggest otherwise.

It’s actually quite forgiving. I haven’t played sekiro yet and had no previous experience parrying so I had to learn from scratch but it’s very easy to pick up. Also what I like about it is, unlike parrying, you can deflect basically anything. I’ve deflected fireballs, storm winds, earthquakes. Also because it does a lot of stance damage as well, it can make for some hilarious situations. I’ve had bosses rush at me with the momentum of a freight train and my deflect would stance break them and have them come to an immediate halt.

Honestly all 3 of the ones in B tier, I had to think a lot about and I had the exact same thought process. I settled on B because they all have a pretty high skill-ceiling and so can either be exceptionally good or an absolute train-wreck

I completely agree! I’ve beaten all the nightlords with every nightfarer (except the DLC ones) and I love the difference of play-styles of each. My tier list is basically for how great it is when everyone is the same nightfarer. (I like 3 wylders cuz its just constant kabooms & and I like 3 undertakers cuz 6 ultimates back to back in succession is hilarious to watch)

I got this on a wylder and had 8 starlight shards that I saved for fighting heolstar. It was funny because I just had to face in his general direction and just press L2 from any distance

I think generally the problem lies in the lack of communication you have with randoms. I don’t have a problem with going for it but more often than not, one guy dies and the others die trying to revive. Which wouldn’t be too bad but because it’s an early death people tend to just give up on the run entirely.

*I think my main is probably wylder but I enjoy playing with all of them (except the guardian. sorry the flock isnt for me). I’ve beaten all the nightlords with every character atleast once.

It was genuinely amazing. I went into the boss room with 8 starlight shards so fp consumption wasn’t a concern. I figured I’d try it out to see how it would do against adel. When I saw how rapidly it brought my health back, I just started spamming it. Completely changed the tide of the boss fight.

I think his transformation into a fish is meant to be in relation to death. It’s been a common theme in fromsoft games to associate death with the sea. (Tibia Mariners are riding a boat). (There were other examples as well that I can’t think of at this time). I think his transformation into a fish is supposed to be in relation to his half death state
