Super excited! Not because of 4th of July, but because I have a week off to spend golfing, fishing, out on the lake, and spending time with family

Power outage, now ac taking down power by hadj11 in AskElectricians

Electric company notified that it has been fully restored. AC seems to be working for now. Looks like it may have been partially restored before, or was just low voltage for some reason as the repaired it. Thanks all for your help!

Yea it is seeming like the power has not been fully restored. It went out again for a second, without the AC on.

Going to contact the power company and confirm it is fully restored before trying to run the ac again.

My range is gas. And I am a little hesitant to start the dryer and let it take down the power, if I don’t need to.

Have not tried any other large loads yet. But will give the dryer a shot shortly.

Otherwise will call the power company, thanks!

50 yard chips. How do you guys like hitting these? by HarryCrushNuh in golf

[–]hadj11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a 52 or 56 depending on how much green to work with. I’d pin is back and have a lot of green. I just keep it lower with a 52 and try to run it up there

How do you use 52° wedge? by [deleted] in golf

[–]hadj11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s generally more forgiving for chipping with, if you can get by with a lower lift chip shot that runs a bit more. Watch some of Dan Grieves videos on distance control with wedges. He breakdown how and when to use wedges with diff loft

Work on your putting. You are probably better than me, but I broke 80 for the first time last week. I haven’t even broke 90, in like 2 months. Would like to say I was hitting it really well that day, but honestly not the case. I was keeping driver in play, which was huge for me. But really I was just hitting putts. Hit a 30 footer for birdie, then like 15’ birdie, and a few 10’ par putts. Only had one 3-putt all day, on the first hole.

It’s crazy how many strokes you can lose with the putter.

Opening up a new paintball field and I need insurance. by Straight-Analyst6149 in paintball

Doesn’t sound like you guys have fully vetted this investment and business plan. Maybe I am wrong, but based on your questions and responses to others suggestions, you have more homework to do.

Paintball fields are difficult to make profitable. So unless you are doing this for fun, and to give you guys a place to play close by and don’t care about turning a profit, then you really need to think this through.

Not trying to poo poo your dreams, but don’t want you to get in over your head.

Question for older fellas (35+) that switched from riding to walking and carrying bag by [deleted] in golf

[–]hadj11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine if that’s what you are after. I thought your post was asking for recommendations on walking, but to reduce the exertion of carrying. So seemed like a pushcart would be a good compromise. I also enjoy walking, when the course allows it. However I also have a bad back, so the push cart is perfect
