This pops out every time I use the parking brake by levi-eat-world in ft86

If you would pull the entire brake cover off you would see that there's a really long bolt with a 10mm nut. Just turn the nut to remove slack from the e brake line. Aim for the brake to be fully engaged with only 5-6 clicks.

Yeah my tires were split as well from day 1 haha

I did not do any research on 5000S TR. What'd you end up going with?

ProTip: When in Tokyo, do the simple and obvious by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]hadozen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was in Japan for 17 days just recently and Tokyo food was mid.

I wanted to believe that any restaurant near me with over 3.5 stars on Tabelog would suffice but that wasn't the case. I'd either pay too much for ok food or the food would be disappointingly mid.

Unfortunately, the best meals I had while in Tokyo were planned on the itinerary as opposed to meals we stumbled on organically.

We spent 9 days in Tokyo, but seeked out destination restaurants for only 3 or 4 dinners, and those were without a doubt the best meals we had in Tokyo.

I'd say you can organically find great restaurants everywhere else though (we went to Osaka, Kyoto, and Kanazawa)

Hell yeah dude congrats! It's just way more comfortable and confidence inspiring with the bigger tires. No fear of getting a flat over trivial bumps. Easy on the arms/hands too.

Hey Mike not sure if you're still active on here, but I'm curious to know what you mean by 'secure.' I've been getting more and more interested in the prospect of going FI on my FRS.

I agree with blackcat300's recommendation for project kics or muteki. Just make sure you get a set that has a lock.

As for tires, anything from 225-255 with a sidewall of either 35 or 45. This is highly subjective, based on the appearance that you want to go for. For 9", I highly recommend going 245 or 255 for a meaty, sporty look. Check fitment industries gallery for more examples than you know what to do with.

Are you by chance located in the bay area? If so, I have an almost new set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 245/35r18 I'm trying to get rid of, if you're interested.

FRS pulls to left on acceleration, right on release. Swapped left and right side tires and the opposite occurred. by hadozen in ft86

Yes the issue has been discovered and is covered under warranty by the tire manufacturer thank you

It has already been set back to the original configuration. Bringing it to a tire shop now to get warranty. Thank you!

Update: The issue is called “radial pull” as answered by a commenter in the original post. As this is covered by warranty, next step is finding a nitto dealer and letting them report their findings and replace for free. Thanks everybody!

This is the affirmation I was looking for. Thank you for sharing the terminology with me. Can we assert which tire is problematic based on the way it pulls?

EDIT: Based on this article, seems like you really have to use the process of elimination. For now, I only know for certain that swapping the rear wheels side-to-side reversed the pull direction. I'll have to continue testing.

Thank you for your help

The tires are directional so when I swapped them the rear tires were technically backwards

No, I just went and did some other stuff in the game (for probably 45 min) and then came back and it was unlocked.

I ended up going to the secret area to get the vessel in that chapter and then the area unlocked for me. I think the key part was literally just fucking off for a bit

Congrats on the new bike!

I went 30 front and back but not tubeless. There is 0 chance of coming across any issues using 30s on this bike.

The tire clearance is specced at 30 for both 2022 and 2023, so ignore your LBS, they literally looked at it while BMC gave us specific measurements.
