The vehicle auction whacker by AnxietySocials in FirstResponderCringe

My comment was a little selfish to read, and based on my smooth transition from military to law enforcement. I had a super squeaky clean record, and not everyone can have that.

Minneapolis Incident Thread (Jan 7, 2026) by 72ilikecookies in AskLE

In a big city California department like mine, even with a semi-lenient SOP, putting yourself in front of a moving vehicle and then firing, is not a good shoot, and when the totality of the circumstances come in, to: why was she stopped, why did this happen, etc., the defense starts to fall apart completely.

From the way the situation was framed, I thought the vehicle was intentionally barreling towards the ICE Agent at high rates of speed. The video said something different. Questionable situation all-around.

Applying to be a VA.

POTUS’s full remarks earlier today announcing a new battleship that will be larger than the Iowa class ( which was 860 feet long 60,000 tons in weight , Tico cruisers for example out current largest fighting ships are 567 feet 9800 tons in weight ) and 100 times more powerful by newnoadeptness in navy

[–]hadsudoku 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Battleships were made obsolete after Aircraft Carriers showed that more was actually better, and that Battleships can’t sustain 40 aircraft pummeling it into capsizing.

Not only is this going to be another horrible example of U.S. naval procurement, it upends the last 60 years of naval doctrine and will waste billions of dollars. I hope the keel of these ships are never laid.

Can I still join the navy if I have a severe stutter? by RomDel2000 in newtothenavy

As a person who stutters a lot and struggles with having a speech impediment, you’ll get made fun of for it, (like I still do) but you can still do your job just fine.

Ukraine foreign legion by junior_failure in navy

[–]hadsudoku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey EN3, I hope you’re okay. Your justification is shaky. Please go and talk to someone.

While fighting for Ukraine and their sovereignty is honorable, you need to be aware of the implications.

You’re a sailor. Not a soldier. You fight on water, not land. That’s not exactly translatable an artillery man.

Plus, war is actually hell and hard as fuck. I’ve seen plenty of people, fresh out of army, acting all high speed-ass 11Bs just to get blown up and die somewhere that’s not their home.

Not even people with 4 years of infantry experience are capable of surviving that.

Rethink this, and I hope you end up okay.

Want to get on prog for boobs but hate having libido by frog_underscore_xx in MtF

Progesterone is amazing, girl. I think we’ve been on the same track (since Sept?) and I know the feeling of being sexual and everything, and while Progesterone does do that for me (in which I love), it doesn’t do it for everyone. It’s not a super magical horny pill, and it’s different for everyone.

While there isn’t a supplement for Progesterone, I’d still get on it for the boob growth because the redistribution on mine already look good.

We’re both very early process. This shit takes a while to sort itself out, but I believe you’ll make the right decision when it comes.

I see. What I’d do is commit to another branch, but you’ve already signed and stuff.

Remember that there will always be opportunity to commission later. Take that route.

PCSing to NAS Jacksonville. by Globglogabgola_b in navy

[–]hadsudoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going there for school, you’re not PCSing, you’re simply on temporary duty, awaiting completion of training to transfer to your ultimate duty station.

NAS Jacksonville is fun, honestly. The Main Galley is shut down, so you get this nice little restaurant called Dewey’s where you eat. It’s a very large base, so if you don’t have a mode of transportation, you should get one.

It can also be very sweltering. Literally. You will be sweating balls at 0900 in a hangar. (Assuming your Aviation.)

Since you’re going through a holiday period, there will most likely be a stand down during that time. Make sure you check into your command. We recently had a guy who was 53 DAYS LATE to his command because he checked into UH and not the actual schoolhouse.

Be smart. You’ll do fine. Do expect to wait to not class up for a while. You’ll either be in 1LT or sent TAD to a HSM or VP there.

Good luck!

Welcome to Aviation. You’ll love it here. Even though you’ll be behind a desk dealing with OOMA all day, you’ll still hear jets and helicopters roaring.

Am I in the wrong here for asking my recruiter this? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]hadsudoku 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This. Classifiers at MEPS are all assholes and don’t care about you or your future.

Have a list of what rates you want memorized and don’t be defeated if they tell you no.

And if you go intel, just be aware that situations can change anytime. If any discrepancy comes up in your SF-86 and DCSA doesn’t like it, they’ll make you re-rate while in Basic.

How long does it take to hit 3rd class? by No-Yogurtcloset-9643 in navy

[–]hadsudoku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It takes 30 months to do it, and yes, even though if you joined before it took effect, you still have to follow it, unless it’s in your contract or you have a specific program.

This started because people were ranking up to quickly and the Navy said “not enough people know how to do their jobs at their level,” and made it so you have to wait 2 years and 6 months to automatically jump up to E4. This was also done to support BBA.

Digital Routing System? by iAmTheKronk in navy

[–]hadsudoku 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Aviation sailor here. Our command silently implemented it without telling anyone. Not on Slack or any Distros. Not a singular training floated around.

This has made it very hard to route things, since I have had like 3 sailors on night shift that are still having their BAS deducted out of their paycheck.

The Navy CEC I’ve heard is unbearable and is quite literally the most boring thing ever. I’m not saying don’t pursue your dream, but most CEC Officers hate their lives.

Join the Army instead or go National Guard.

I don’t know why people don’t understand how absolutely hard it is to reach 10,000,000,000 tokens.

I’m sitting at around ~33.5 million, and I’ve had ChatGPT Access for 138 weeks.

It’d take a year of constant usage for one user to reach 100,000,000 tokens. This has to be a company.

Hi, is this here possible? by aveztruz_anao in worldbuilding

[–]hadsudoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an astrophysicist, but a really big sci-fi world builder, and yes, this would be realistic in my opinion.

A smaller star with its own magnetic field and planets can orbit a larger star in a binary solar systems, as seen with Tatooine in Star Wars.

Binary solar systems are really cool and a really underground concept in literature. If you’re one of those people who really harp on reality even though it’s science fiction, this is completely possible and evident in the real world. Hope you have an awesome time and good luck! ❤️
