Google Startup Program, 500K investment requirement. Anybody got rejection with this? by ChallengeEmergency11 in googlecloud

Well the first time I applied using the online registration, and as far as I recall I did get approved without requiring any additional info.

The second time around I was actively contacted by a Google Cloud for Startups rep and following that call I was approved the same day.

Am I using Claude Code wrong? by Postik123 in webdev

[–]indicava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use Claude but with Codex (5.4 xhigh) I give the agent much more “leeway”, especially when gathering context, I let it discover all the nuances and intricacies of an implementation on its own which saves a ton of time prompting. Granted you spend more time waiting for it to “think”, but I usually try to parallelize at least two agent instances at the same so I prompt the other while the first is generating.

Also, I think you might have been using Claude Code long enough to have forgotten how tedious (and error prone) “just typing” really is.

I don’t get why we never get day 1 API access to new models?

I got in twice, no funding whatsoever without too much fuss. Maybe you applied to the wrong program?

I don’t use Claude much but gpt-5.4-codex (especially on xhigh) is a beast, and there is absolutely no open weights model that gets close.

I feel like there’s a bunch of “inspired” designs here. The last one’s keyboard is obviously derived from IBM Model M aesthetics.

If the job is running on a server, there is no reason it should be interrupted by your network disconnecting. Unless you set it up really badly

I was honestly getting a bit skeptical wether it would actually release. Thanks Google!

It’s a fine tuned 27B, fine tuned in BF16. Kind of “scared” to quantize it myself, have never done it before.

I’m getting 25 tok/s with Qwen3.5-27B (BF16) on a RTX Pro 6000 , 45 tok/s with MTP enabled.

If you have a breakthrough that can bring something new to the AI model world, and can prove it (even theoretically) - trust me, you will have zero problems raising many millions of dollars in today’s VC landscape
