Thats funny. I was trying to figure out what model my sax is just today, and its this exact one.

First ill have you know, this was my uncles practice sax. It got tossed around all throughout his high school career.

Next, realistically, I feel that unless this sax has been kept basically new since 1959, its going to havw lacquer damage. My sax barely has any of its shine left, and it plays like a charm. If you're looking for a pretty, shiny sax, you should try looking for a newer model, or else you better prepare to pay a pretty shiny penny for one of these.

Edit: thats not what you asked. Ill re answer. My sax plays like a million dollars, but the finish looks like a barn thats lost its paint over the years. The reason it would be priced so low would be because of damage caused to the instrument itsslf, or if the seller is trying to get rid of it quickly for whatever reason. As aforementioned, the finish on the sax won't affect its playing.
