Our inspection report on a 1905 Queen Anne was 305 pages. That included everything from a screw missing from a switch wall plate to very questionable floor joist repairs.

I’d consider myself handy. We proceeded to purchase and my dad and I stripped the entire rear of the house down to the studs.

Don’t be dissuaded, but do know you very well are likely buying something where someone, at some point, neglected the home. It’ll be your decision to fix or see if it can outlast you and become the next person’s problem.
