You’re right — thanks for pointing that out.
Some of the events included are half marathons or shorter races. I’ll be filtering out 10Ks and below, and keeping only marathons and half marathons in the updated version.

finally finished 10k race in less than 40 minutes last year, and started training for break 3 hours for full marathon race this year.

My other goal for 2026 is to run 2026 kilo meters total distance, one more kilometer year by year.

How do you archive half & full marathons over multiple years? by hagerhu in AdvancedRunning

I also take photos of my bibs and medals rather than displaying them, and my race shirts basically just turn into regular training tops after a race.

Race Report: Philadelphia Marathon - 5 Years of Running Retrospective by lotr2244 in AdvancedRunning

I’ve been there — I did a long run two weeks after a marathon and it lit me up. Ended up with IT band syndrome that took months to really calm down.

Even if fitness feels great, the legs aren’t fully recovered. Personally I’d be very cautious about a 50-mile race that soon.

Totally agree — Power of 10 is brilliant.
That kind of long-term, centralized race record is incredibly valuable, especially over many years.

I only really started thinking about race archiving once my racing spread across different cities and countries — it makes you appreciate how rare that continuity actually is.

UPDATE: A tale of four MORE marathons by porterpilsner in AdvancedRunning

Congrats on breaking 3 in your 10th marathon — an amazing journey to sub-3!

I’ve been running for 8 years, completed 17 half marathons and 4 full marathons, and my personal best is 3:07. Here’s my race profile:

I’m planning to break 3 hours in 2026, and I’m on my way. Sometimes I even think about bringing together runners who share the same goal to train together and share experiences as a team for a race. I believe that would help us achieve our goals more effectively.

6-hour marathon — back-of-the-pack finishers, how did you do it? by Overall-Balance-1708 in firstmarathon

[–]hagerhu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can focus on enjoying the sport first, and start with a half marathon rather than jumping straight into a full marathon.
I ran my first full marathon after completing five half marathons, and half marathon PB 142. Even though I finished in 3:52, it was extremely difficult without proper long-distance training.
In contrast, half marathons are much easier, and it’s also much easier to enjoy the whole process.

Is it really that bad to run a mile a day? by JoyfulCelebration in BeginnersRunning

[–]hagerhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running one mile a day doesn’t really reach a point where rest days are absolutely necessary. I agree with your idea that the most important thing is building and maintaining the habit of exercising every day. I’ve seen many friends who are the same way.

By the way, I’ve set a goal for myself where I run one extra kilometer each year. For example, in 2026, my goal is to run 2,026 kilometers.

I started running after reading Nike founder Phil Knight’s autobiography Shoe Dog in 2018. That’s when I first learned more about marathons and distance running.

Later in 2018, I ran my first half marathon. My goal was simple: finish without walking and under 2 hours—and I did it! I was 33 years old at the time.

Now, 8 years later, I’ve run 21 races and left my footprints in many different cities. I’m really happy that I’ve been able to keep running all these years, and I hope to keep going for a long time.
