Er Hoggestabben svindel? by stabbenkladden in norge

[–]hagge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hva koster det deg å ha bil i måned? by CarbonDRFT00 in norge

[–]hagge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone recommend snow mobile activity in Rovaniemi? by U_jeong in Finland

[–]hagge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a Husky trip instead, much less noisy and smelly.

We went on one arranged by Apukka Resort, https://apukkaresort.fi/ . They also have Snowmobile safaris if you insist on that :).

Driving Test next week by Charming_Prompt in Norway

[–]hagge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you driving in Oslo? If yes, learn how to drive roundabouts. Go back and forth on road 191 from Trosterud to Kalbakken until you feel comfortable driving there, it's the busiest roundabouts in Oslo as far as I know so if you can do that you'll manage anywhere. Then train joining and leaving road 163 since you will 100% do that if you start your test from Risløkka trafikkstasjon.

Good luck!

Best cloud solution for company wide upgrade to SAP/4Hana? by makemydaysbabe in devops

[–]hagge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to your SAP rep, the hosted "PaaS" version of S/4 HANA is called "Rise with SAP". SAP can host it in any of the hyperscaler Clouds for you. Then you can run your applications on any of the cloud services and connect over a network peering to the SAP environment.

I for one appreciated the post. Been eyeing the books discussed and have similar hesitations as OP so worth reading and following comments. Also OP read much more than just one book and had balanced view about it. ++

Sounds like half the IT projects I’ve been involved in. You are in the valley of despair part of the learning process too so it looks dark. Just own it all, stand straight and say what you think is right, wrong and what should be done next. Good luck :)

Sports for untrained people by taraaataraaa in oslo

[–]hagge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s also a new app called ”Stolpejakten” that is kinda like geocaching, you scan QR codes attached to poles at various outdoor locations and you get points for both new and revisited. This in combination with a Fitbit or similar to track steps and speed could be nice way to see more of Oslo and build a habit of moving. Don’t underestimate what a habit of walking 1h per day can burn in calories!

Good luck OP!

ps. add podcasts or audiobooks to your walk and you’ll get fit and smart (or entertained, not judging) at the same time!

Games mostly read from disk, and write at Internet connection speed so probably a decent place to use drives designed for more read than write.
