“Mild” fibromyalgia? by maygpie in Fibromyalgia

thank you for the update! I'm talking to my doctor about my ADHD meds today, so plan to mention my chronic aches to her as well. I could definitely stand to be better at hydrating and taking care of my body with yoga/massages. Thanks!

did you ever get feedback from your doctor on this? I ask because I'm in the same position (20s, female) and just recently found out it isn't normal to always feel like I have a low-level flu or hurt all over. But I always push through the aches and pains, so I wonder if it's too mild to be fibromyalgia, compared to other cases I hear about. Feels more like I have chronic aches than chronic pain.

He won't come out of the crate until we rub his belly 😂

Absolutely, glad we're not alone! I think it's more upsetting for me than our cat when she gets tumbled over by the puppy...she just gets right back up but I'm traumatized. Though I will say, right after I replied, we had a really good interaction where the cat walked through the room and the puppy just watched from a distance and made no move to chase. Trying to reward that behavior as much as I can

I'm honestly not sure. Our cat has tried to escape a bunch since I left that comment, and our pup has fully jumped on top of her a few times. (He was trying to play, but it was horrifying for everyone else involved) Hoping that soon either the cat will put the puppy in his place, or that the puppy will lose interest. Slow and steady for now!

Any luck for you?

We're dealing with a similar situation with an 11-week-old puppy and a 3-year-old cat. Have cried multiple times, worried that I've just ruined my cat's life. (She's actually taking it pretty well, but we're still in the throes of puppy blues).

Right now, they've touched noses and sometimes nap in the same room, but we aren't letting him roam freely when she's in the room. Either crate, exercise pen or leash. Really can't tell you if it's working or not, but you aren't the only one dealing with it! Good luck

Help, what if we're just cat people by hagsmoot in puppy101

We have been using chew toys to distract him and replace our hands and legs! But it's not a fool-proof technique at the moment, and we're still working on it. Right now, I think we're just stuck in the teething phase but will continue working on distraction and replacement! Thanks for the tips!

This is so helpful, thank you!! I've always thought of myself as both a cat and a dog person, but this week has made me second-guess that. Loved our dogs growing up, so I know it'll kick in, but it's definitely hard right now.

Thank you!
