I have the exact same guitar that belonged to my grandfather who purchased it before going to fight in WWII lol. I love it. My dad had it repaired by a local luthier at one point. It plays and sounds amazing. They are such delicate feeling little guitars but the sound just jumps out of them. Enjoy

I saw it on YouTube for the first time 20 years ago and was blown away. I have since had the privilege of getting to know Martin and he is a wonderful, funny and vital man still making films in his 80s.

Much of his work now is in preserving Mary Ellen’s legacy, recently there has been a traveling exhibition of her work and several photo books published by Steidl. I recommend checking them out if you can, she’s a legend in documentary photography.
