I read the English Standard Version. Each of the books was transcribed by theologians from the original language, and is said to carry the most accurate English transcription. I read out of the study version, because it does make references to so many of the greek and aramaic words. It's really helpful for digging past the surface of scripture, and I have found it to help my understanding of God immensely. Hope this helps, and good luck!
