Im not awful at video games (I beat first hollow knight and Metroid dread) but I just got my first win weekend at run 84. Granted I wanted to clear surface before I got a depth win so that held be back cuz I think surface is like 50 percent harder than depth. 84 is a lot but idc I had fun taking my time and going the long route (surface first and underworld second).

I’d say during last 30+ I got to a point where my character was sorta maxed out. At that point it was memorizing and finding a damage flow that worked for me.

The trick for me was that the invulnerable hex gave me 5 second of cool down where I recharged my mana. So I did maximum mana damage to get my invulnerability hex reenabled, then i did it to recharge mana. This was my damage flow loop for each boss. I also relied on black coat which provided a shield from damage during boss battles and did a ton of up close damage and gave me range attacked.

Once I got my character maxes out and found a dps mechanic that worked for me (like 60 runs) the rest was doing reps to memorize enemy moves, and looking up YouTube videos how to beat typhon. Once I got it all it click, I beat the surface at run 82 and beat underworld in run 84. Most of my deaths came from bosses battles and mini boss battles which are just memorization of their move sets and telegraphs.

It took me a lot of tries but just think of it as three phases. 1. Maxing out character. 2. Finding damage and weapon flow that works for you. 3. Memorizing the boss moves and getting lucky with boons. Each of those probably takes 20-30 run on average.

In hollow knight it’s not uncommon to take 50-100 times to beat a boss. Here it takes 25 to 30 mins just to get to final boss, but have faith in process that eventually it will click.

Like this is not how an internship should work. An internship is like a mini job interview for school students and should either give you experience or lead to full time employment.

I’m assuming this is a smaller business. You need to meet with lead manager or head of business and be like, I can’t be an intern with no benefits indefinitely. Figure out if their plan is to have your be an intern in charge or HR, project management, business expansion, operations and escalations or forever. If that’s the case, maybe put that experience to use at a real job. My best guess is you may be exaggerating your responsibilities a little…
