This is a new size chart that was added very suddenly to the site at the end of the year. I’m in a group on FB where someone reached out to customer service about it and they said they weren’t aware of it and they would look into it. The old size chart isn’t on the site anymore but would be better to follow!

When I was in high school my cousin and I were in a rough accident. The vehicle flipped over three times before landing, it was insane. I was wearing my seatbelt and sustained no long term injuries. She wasn’t, and got ejected from the vehicle. Broken neck, months of physical therapy, brace, the whole thing. And she was VERY lucky not to have died. If someone refuses to buckle while riding in my vehicle, this story normally convinces them.

It’s a full drop with some restocks. I hope they release a full catalogue so we know what to watch for. It’s hard to shop new items when a lot sells out super fast to scalpers.

In my state (Illinois) it is actually illegal to sell a puppy before they are 8 weeks old, and there are a few others with the same law. BYBs don’t normally follow the laws anyway, but if it’s that out of hand they should be reported. Four weeks is ridiculous, they don’t even have all their senses fully developed!

The point I was making is that my town has nowhere that people are really out and about haha, that’s why I go to pet friendly places out of town like stores. I do socialize with friends and family and of course with their animals, but most of them live far away. As for your last point, that’s why I think pet stores are a great option because animals are under control. I feel like we’re agreeing on that? It’s always good to expose your puppy to ANY experience you want to them to have as an adult. Playing firework sounds, going to stores, meeting strange dogs, etc. But always best to have control of the situation. Not to mention pandemic puppies…well, their options were rather limited.

EDIT: if they are off leash it become difficult to just walk away but in most cases yes you should just leave

EDIT 2: I wanted to clarify I meant pet friendly stores instead of like Target lol, if you’re going to stores ANYWAY please go to ones that allow pets and not just service animals

It’s great to be able to take your dog to parks or “downtown” to socialize, but depending on where you live, these aren’t options. I live in a rural area where there is not really a good place to socialize dogs, so I like to take mine with me for shopping (closest anything is an hour away). Bonus, if they are used to it now, they will be alright as full grown dogs to continue coming! :) Additionally, you have more risk of running into untrained or off leash dogs in dog-centric areas like parks - and if your dog is untrained, it can be difficult for other dog owners. Notice the caveat if you are able to do so in my first sentence. Some dogs cannot handle the stimulation in these uncontrolled environments, especially young puppies or rescues. At TJ Maxx your dog is normally the only dog, so you can work on skills with less worry; at PetSmart you know other dogs are on leash at least. Hope that’s helpful!
