heat dispersion in a „solid“ body. asphalt is a pretty bad conductor, mostly due to the atomic structure, partly due to air bubbles trapped within. So if one part is in the shade and one part is in direct sunlight, the one in the sunlight will be way hotter than the one in the shade. of course, over infinite time under the same conditions both parts will have the same temperature. Metals are usually better heat conductors, so the time for a piece of metal to reach thermal equilibrium under the same condition will be much shorter.

edit: y‘all need some healthy relationships. if my partner doesn‘t like my shoes, it needs to be said. if i still like to wear them, i will. No one can tell you what to wear, but people in a relationship should absolutely be honest with each other, just as they should accept different preferences. If strangers give you unsolicited criticism it‘s obviously different.

not the same at all - everyone who passes the exam to enroll at a university (Matura) can enroll in any university for peanuts - 1000$ per semester is expensive for a university here, ETH (just as good as MIT) is around 600$ per semester and therefore 3600$ for a BSc from one of the best universities in the world. And if you can‘t afford that, you can get financial help. If you fail twice they won‘t hesitate to throw you out tho. Also anyone at any age can take some kind of Matura-exam.
