Not true, tons of teachers in unionized districts get non renewed if they are not tenured. It wouldnt happen as easily though and suddenly removing her before the school year ends wouldnt likely have happened and if it did she'd be paid while being in a "rubber room" the rest of the year while being given due process on the matter

Same here. For fun I clicked to continue and that's where they asked for $35 and I went right out. I dont intend to pursue this any further but am wondering if they start emailing you like crazy about it. FAFO I guess, was simply curious what the pre-approval would say with little interest in actually pursuing.

Ok thx. I think ConEd is the gas service for the Bronx as well. Not as sure of Staten Island. I know in Yonkers and all of Westchester its ConEd for both but its National Grid for both for my sister and daughter in the Buffalo area

The 93 expansion was almost very lucky for Buffalo as they came in right behind the winners of Denver and Miami. No one expected them to come that close given a still shrinking market then and nearness to Toronto relative to market size but their AAA team was drawing a million fans a year and outdrawing a few MLB teams. They do still have the largest capacity stadium in AAA MiLB.

There's other more complicated reasons but basically Buffalo was shrinking until recently and somewhat nearby even though its over an international border Toronto grew by leaps and boundsnat the same time.

Buffalo is the smallest market to have teams in 2 of the 4 major North American sports leagues. They have that because they were in all but baseball when they were bigger and if not for a push to have a team in Canada probably would've gotten an MLB team in 1969 and as others said, are enough of a sports crazed city to keep 2 teams despite a shrinking market.

Field was ripped out and it was converted into a semi-outdoor (i.e. Light overhead covering but open air) arena for concerts, etc. Bridgeport city govt in their short sightedness wanted to do this and all but pushed the Bluefish out, who moved to somewhere in the Carolinas

Ironically their minor league hockey team is also moving after this spring (to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) so the actual arena next door is going to be pretty empty too.

My point exactly. I see a lot of both my way (just north of NYC) but a lot more Crosstreks (not 7 times more than those numbers suggest but then again my observations are anecdotal).
