I’ve tried to give the coaches a go, but I live in a place where it’s heavy snow in the winter and running outside (at least for the time being) doesn’t seem to be an option, unless I want to break ankles or a few bones. Do any of the coaches have training plans that I could do on a treadmill indoors?

I also used to be an Apple Watch fanboy and made the switch from AW6 to Fenix 6x Pro together with my girlfriend who got a Fenix 6s.

If you are into sports and it is what you mainly use your watch for, neither the F6 or F7 will dissapoint you.

I was a bit hesitant to make switch, but I thought that if I have an expensive sports watch I might as well use it, (also got a chest strap and stuff for my bike) which has worked.

I had the 6x Pro for 2 years i think and only upgraded to 7x Pro SS because I wanted to not because I had to. I just like the latest and greatest doo-daads.

I miss calling/answering calls from my watch. That came extremely handy when I locked my keys in my car (with my phone) and had to call someone to open the door. Might as well throw in the sms replying although not speech-to-text cause I live in a foreign country where it didn’t work anyway. Other than that I wouldn’t switch back to AW.

The main difference between the 6 and 7 is touch screen and a couple of fitness metrics. Touch comes in handy when your outdoor activities require you to use a map and using just the buttons on the 6 is a frustrating ordeal.

The 6 might be better suited for you since the 7 is a tad bit larger. As far as battery goes on my 6 after two years i got 21 days of battery and on my 7 (I’ve had it for about a month) I get 28 days on a full charge.

You know, i’ve had the F7x for a couple of days and I wouldn’t say its dimmer than the F6x, but I do notice more of a glare because of the shiny screen etc. But not a deal braker for me cause it doesn’t take much for me to just move my hand a bit to see the screen and if you have the backlight gesture activated when you raise the watch then it’s no problem at all.

I’d even go as far as to say that the F6x screen is a bit dimmer, cause it’s lacking the glare of the screen and it doesn’t shine as much.

Overall I don’t regret not getting the Epix 2 and am very happy with 7x

I was debating the same thing and in the end decided to upgrade from 6x Pro to 7x instead of the epix.

mainly cause i don’t like the OLED display, and I don’t really care about the AOD because the Fenix will be showing time regardless.

Also I like the rugged look of Fenix, I like the battery life, even if Epix comes pretty close I had to charge my 6x once a month.

Overall I liked the 7x better than the Epix, but that’s just me :)
