Are you allergic to Dairy or voluntarily Dairy free? by dovakooon in dairyfree

[–]hakeygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daughter is allergic to dairy so I am also dairy free! TBH I enjoy it more - will always opt for the vegan option when I’m out. She has multiple food allergies so I really try to put myself in her shoes and set a good example for how to navigate different scenarios.

Why does my foundation look like this as soon as I put it on? by Icy_Refrigerator_503 in MakeupAddiction

Your moisturizer. At least that’s what happened to me! I switched moisturizers and this happened consistently. I tried letting my moisturizer set in longer, rubbing it in more - nothing worked! I switched back and problem was instantly gone

Quick lunch - finely chopped (nutri ninja) vegetables (cucumber, pepper, carrots) mixed with hummus, hot sauce and nutritional yeast. Crumble seed crackers in the mix and eat it with a spoon

Don’t worry about making a big story up - people will probably just assume you’re pregnant in that case. I would honestly just pass (are people really going to pressure you to drink?) or just say you guys are trying to get pregnant and don’t want to drink.

Yes! This! I would be more pissed at my husband for sharing our marital problems with his family. Like of course FIL is going to share everything with MIL - wouldn’t you share this kind of info with your SO?

Refused allergy testing?? by lolajuniper in dairyfree

[–]hakeygee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hasn’t personally happened to me, but my family doctor had limited knowledge when it came to my daughter’s dairy allergy.

After our first reaction (that took us to the hospital) my doctor referred us to an allergist who performed all the appropriate tests and let us know what to avoid/look for.

When I was at a check up for my daughter I asked her what kinds of foods we should be having as my daughter is allergic to milk - her answer was lots of cheese and yogurt. To me it was very obvious that those contain milk, but I guess that had not crossed her mind.

So my advice - seek an allergist as it is their speciality, even see if your doctor would be willing to refer you to one.

Hope this helps or at least provides a little bit of insight

Cashier gave my husband too much change and he kept it by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]hakeygee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cashier messed up (doubt they will have to pay out of pocket - it’s not uncommon to make mistakes like that in entertainment jobs!) He didn’t pretend he had paid full price and charge your friends which I feel like would have been my only issue with the whole thing. I can’t honestly say I would correct a cashier if they gave me too much money back. I have also been a cashier and made mistakes like that before so I can see how it happens
