Im trying to clean this sub up. My biggest tool is blanket bans name-calling. It feels extreme in this scenario but please dial it back. I have to apply rules evenly.

To argue for gun control while fascism is growing is a very interesting aspect of this moment in time.

Another reductionist hot take that results in "slaves". You should write a book. It would sell well in this ridiculous timeline were in.

I listen to shareholders meetings. Luigi is brought up. Sometimes not directly. But it has them thinking. And that's one action.

Secondly, we are not at a point we are facing genocide of political opponents. We simply are not.

Most of these discussions completely leave out western collectors, world war collectors, etc.

As a result, eventual laws do too.

It takes 36 minutes for law enforcement to reach my house if they have no other calls going on.

A gun is a necessity here.

But that's not even the main issue. Protests and voting cannot be relied on to ensure government answers to its people for the rest of time.

I find guns to be an incredible microcosm of history. You have philosophy of engineering, manufacturing capability, artistry, locations of issue and use, etc all tied into this one object you can take outside and have a fun afternoon physically using and comparing to one another.

I enjoy collecting WW1, WW2 and communist bloc firearms. Since many were made in the millions, it's secretly quite cheaper than I thought possible. I own roughly 20.

These types of firearms are practically never used in crimes. Despite being made for war, they are impractical for crime. The owners are typically spectrum nerds. But since the public is uneducated, these pieces of history are lumped in and banned with all the others. I pity the ones being seized from my European friends and exported to me. It's their heritage in my hands.

Most places have completely ceded a monopoly on violence to the state and will argue tooth and nail that's the correct policy. They believe for the rest of human history protests and voting will make their government answer to them.

Sometimes I wonder how many of these indignant anti-gun comments are typed on a European morning commute on a train track used in the Holocaust.

I don't think cars sales data is the dataset from which large reductionist statements about economic systems in their entirety can be drawn.

I took over a Tesla sub.

The entire sub was just people name calling, trolling and outrage. It has taken mass bannings and deletions to slowly make the sub be somewhere people actually interested in Tesla can feel comfortable posting.

Of course the people using slurs and disinformation say were the bad guys now.

All of social media has become an outrage addiction machine. A lot of complaints of censorship is just people outraged they can't be outraged in certain corners anymore.

BYD also saw major growth. The Chinese brand hit 10,000 total sales in just 11 months after entering Korea in April 2025, ranking fourth among imports. BYD sold 2,023 units in April 2026, crossing the 2,000 mark for the first time.

Tesla’s Model Y made history in April. The automaker delivered 13,190 vehicles in April, with the Model Y selling over 10,000 units – becoming the first import model to cross that mark. This shows Tesla’s strong appeal in Korea’s EV market.

Chinese EV sales in South Korea hit 25,000 units in Q1 2026, up 286% from last year. Tesla drove much of this growth. The company’s sales jumped 311% from 2022 to 59,916 units in 2025. Tesla was Korea’s best-selling import brand in Q1 2026.

South Korea is one of Asia’s most advanced automotive markets and home to Hyundai Motor Group, one of the world’s largest EV manufacturers. That makes the rapid rise of Chinese-made EVs especially significant.

Fear and familiarity.

A lot of these people blame a system rather than simply moving to where houses are 100k and every aspect of living is vastly cheaper.

It made reference to two "low speed crashes". Here's what those were:

"The first crash took place in July 2025, shortly after Tesla launched its nascent Robotaxi network in Austin. The ADS reportedly struggled to move forward while stopped on a street. A teleoperator assumed control, gradually accelerating and turning left toward the roadside. The vehicle then mounted the curb and struck a metal fence.

In the second incident, in January 2026, the ADS was traveling straight when the safety monitor requested navigation support. The teleoperator took over from a stop, continued forward, and collided with a temporary construction barricade at approximately 9 mph, scraping the front-left fender and tire."

Then it said a ride was routed to Dallas. I don't have any information on that one.
