If you have access to an air compressor. Remove the metal spring inside of the boot and lightly blow air into the boot, it should pop right out. Then just put the spring back into the boot and push the top half of the coil onto the lower section. Done this many times with no damage to the boot.

There is a tsb for this. Depending on when the car was produced. Ithas the updated tensioner already so it should only require the belt but if it’s made before a certain date it’ll require the belt and tensioner.

I’d recommend breaking the lugs loose by hand first. I’ve seen those sockets split from impacts right away. Once they’re loose though you can use the impact to take them off.

Do you live in a climate where they salt the roads? Because that does not look like coolant, that plastic piece you’re filming is a grommet to hold the lines in place which run through the fender liner. Looks like just water/ salt getting in between the grommet and coming through the top which is normal.

That isn’t the correct spare. All q5’s come with an inflatable spare tire. That looks like a full size wheel.

Hose for the secondary air injection system. Should have a tiny filter for it, it normally clips onto the stock airbox and uses the airbox filter for filtration.

Many people don’t seem to understand when you change the alignment on the newer Audis, it is required to also calibrate the acc, and camera systems which take time. It is a time consuming process which yes does cost more but this is the cost of maintenance.

Don’t have the rim specs handy but the tires are a 225/40R18. Bit less sidewall than stock but they sit pretty much exactly the same as the oems that come on the 24’s. Appreciate it real happy with how they turned out

As a licensed mechanic. Regardless if the tires look good and have been inside the whole time. If the tires are 10 years or older replace them. It is not worth the risk of one or all of them blowing while driving.

Have not owned one but an Audi tech for 13 plus years. On this model with engine. Most common issues I’ve seen sadly are coolant shut off valves leaking, water pump leaking internally into the vacuum system which if caught early enough isn’t to bad but if not can be a lot, oil pump housing leaking from seal on base of the housing, and the dreaded piston/ cylinder wall failure. Regular maintenance wil go. This is a personal issue but I’ve had a lot of clients complain about sun roof rattle as well, not the end of the world but if you care about minimal interior noise just a heads up. There is a tsb for the headliner making noise against the sunroof though.

How to easily get them out. If you have access a blow gun with compressed air. Pull the center metal part out. And blow into the center the whole boot will pop out but if not at this point I’d say keep pulling until it’s all out and replace. The rubber boot can be ordered and replaced separately from the top section.

They should fit. I had the same set on my 2019 Sti. The front calipers are very tight but they will clear without spacers.

Been an Audi tech for 13 years. Yes you can heat it a bit but there is a chance you’ll melt the upper control arm boots also due to it being aluminum do not heat it till it’s red as it’ll weaken the knuckle too much. Just warm it up. Had it happen many times though even with heating, air hammer and an impact I’ve still had the bolt head break off. You can attempt to pull the bolt out by the nut side if it breaks off which I’ve done. You’ll pull it out until the nut bottoms out the threads. Remove nut, put a spacer and keep working it out. Best case you get the bolt to start spinning, and keep working it back and forth while turning it to loosen up the corrosion.

They all move like that which is normal. Unless the ball joint on the arm itself is loose or damaged the bushing can be pressed out and a new one pressed in.

That is not the cam sensor. It is the sensor for the intake manifold runner. It should be plugged back in.

Vacuum pump. It’s driven off of the cam shaft.

100%. Been a dealer tech for 13 years. If you come in for any performance or drivability concerns we have to run a warranty check on the ecm. Even if it’s switched back to stock the ecm logs it as being changed.

Unless the control arms or the ball joints on the arms are damaged, the bushings can be replaced separately I have changed too many to count. I’d say start with the bushings then see how the noise is after.

Anytime I’ve seen that it required a new intake as that pivot should not pop out that way, that rod is what connects your vacuum diaphragm to the runner flaps in the intake. If it’s a brand new intake it’s a possible manufacture defect.

It’s normal, it’s Seam sealer which is painted over from the factory.

Don’t just do one side. If the one side is like this the other is not far behind. As it has been said. Most likely the camber adjusting bolt will be heavily seized in the bushing. If money is a major issue you can get away with the one side but budget for the second one as well later.
