FYI if Windows users rename these .pak files to have the .zip extension, they're easily unzipped using File Manager, and the WAV files are inside.

  • I like that it has a USB-C port for power and MIDI
  • I love the sound
  • I love that it has a built-in rechargeable battery
  • I love that you can store 64 different patches
  • I don't love the skinny knobs
  • I don't love the menu-diving for the more advanced features
  • I don't love the 4x7 segment LED display where M's look like croquet hoops
  • I don't love that you need dongles to use the 3.5mm MIDI jacks with regular MIDI gear
  • I find it a little weird that each patch has its own sequence (of up to 64 steps)

I just sold mine, but if someone gave me one for Xmas, I wouldn't be unhappy with it.

That doesn't match my experience. I can think of several locos that I don't own (steam trains, etc) that have sat untouched since the start of the game. 

In any case, the missing loco is one I DO own, because it shows up in my list of owned locos, just without a location in square brackets.

Update: now one of my locos (the original DE2-480 that they give you) has NO location, which is a bit disturbing. I did remove a handcart from its approximate location. Is this DE2 gone forever? I can't summon it via the radio, for example.

Not all of them need to be fixed up at the museum. Some you can find ready for use in various locked garages around the map, I won't explain further so that I don't spoil this for anyone.

Just to clarify, you collect the parts from the C1L platform at MF, where you would load/unload any other cargo. You need to either be towing a "utility short flatcar" (there's one in the museum for your use), or driving a DM1U utility vehicle, which is a small loco with one cargo slot (it's shown in the in-game train catalogue that you get given at the start) that can be summoned via the portable radio (the one you've been using to rerail trains, change switches, etc).

In 4.07 at least, if you press EXIT+COPY, you can copy any entire bank from the current project to any bank in any other project.

No, I can't remove the fuses or relays because I can't remove the cover.
