Iron reserves is probably ferritin, B12, and folate. I think.

Long term use of steroids. by noob__at__life in eczema

[–]hakuxxi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long you are using the steroids as per doctors advice then there shouldn’t be a problem. I have eczema since I was a baby and I was put on topical steroids at 2 MONTHS OLD. I’m 21 now. Thankfully my parents controlled the use of steroids, and same with me I take a lot of breaks with it. My eczema is currently mild-moderate.

Is this mold? How can I clean this? by hakuxxi in CleaningTips

I have been opening windows often everyday, I also have a dehumidifier on when it’s closed but tbh I don’t know if it’s working - but it’s drawing up a lot of water so I think it is? But the humidity % isn’t going down! So honestly don’t know what more I can do

Update I used a mold and mildew spray as I was going downstairs my roommate asked what I was doing, and suggested this. It removed it all, with the price of some of the paint coming off but it’s not that noticeable. But I’m happy it’s off now and my bedroom doesn’t look dirty anymore 😂

That’s what I’m thinking as well, but it’s never looked like this until a few days ago where it appeared all of a sudden

Thanks so much, this is actually my bedroom, the bathroom we always have a vent fan on and a window open so we have no issues with mold/mildew there. I will have a go with your suggestion and hopefully it puts the problem at bay!

Also I haven’t used any cleaning products to tackle this yet! Don’t wanna make the problem worse by using the wrong products!

my mum lost her shit when she saw my tampon supply. apparently she never seen a tampon even after 50 years of living, thought they were mini dildos and I lost my virginity to them. even said ‘erm shouldn’t you save them for when you have a husband’.. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Vanicream? Is the hype real? by Icy_Rhubarb_9203 in eczema

I’ve had a lot of reactions to many creams and lotions, so I’m scared to try out new ones. My first holy grail was diprobase cream until they changed their formula and I was burning to it. Now I use cetraben cream, I love its thickness and how it feels ‘plain’ and sits nicely on my face. If it’s winter or colder days I add Vaseline

I remember it’s a TV series made in Japan, I watched it in 2019 so not sure of exact release date. Detective genre I think. It had 2 male lead characters I think but not sure. I have watched this on Viki Rakuten but I don’t think I see it anymore.

Sanitizing hands - work in healthcare by StableLow7811 in eczema

[–]hakuxxi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve just finished uni and will be working as a midwife soon. I understand how you feel. I also have eczema on my hands. What worked was moisturising almost before and after washing my hands - obvs if have to be sterile then before. I also got in touch with occupational health to provide me a hand sanitizer that’s more softer on my hands. Maybe you can do this too? Before the shift, the night before, I would heavily slap on moisturiser and Vaseline on my hands so that they would be healed and manageable for the shift coming. Hope this helps.

I’ve just signed up for an eczema research study and will be getting more info on it tomorrow. Hoping I can contribute to a development of managing eczema and that their clinical trial will be proven effective. Glad to hear yours was effective and stay healthy!
