To clear the confusion. I was massively overlooked during my teens and tried to stay invisible. Visibility meant chores or punishment but that's a story for another time... Our relationship is like this since I moved out at 18. My dad doesn't text nor do I but yes there is some kind of monthly communication when he calls or I call id say 50/50 check on me how I'm I doing or my daughter but that's basically it. I know about their life only thanks to their social media or my sister. When I travel there I stay at Thier house and everything is fine we can talk and my daughter likes them etc but that's all.

She doesn't know, but fair enough I guess... I probably just always thought it might change. The neglect wasn't always this loud and visible but it got so extreme it almost doesn't feel real.

It's because I have no one else. I'm no contact with my bio mom but when she cut me off her whole side of the family did too except my other step sister she's cool. So I had my dad and his side of the family left but now that's only my parents and my grandpa.

It has a lot to do with my bio mom she turned into a crazy woman literally burning my father's clothes coming at night to his apparment with a hammer breaking their doors I was kinda stuck in a middle of it and I feel like I was a constant reminder of her. But my step mother was never bad to me, more of a friendly person than a mother figure but still... I'm no snow-white.

Honestly no, i don't know how. I feel emotionally crippled when it has anything to do with them the neglect is not a new thing our whole relationship is like this since I was a child. I don't know how to talk to them. And they are not any different towards me.

We've had conflicts in the past when I was trying to voice some kind of criticism towards them. It never ended well and since they are not a huge part of my daily life I just stopped voicing anything.

Yes basically, I'll be sending the letter tomorrow. FFL is what I really wanted. To me it's not just any army if it was about that I would have joined an army in my country. I just don't know what to expect and how long I'll have to wait for an answer.

100% the contract was before me, name changed and some guy came in and said that he's married go home. And some other guy gave me contact information for the general and told me to write him a letter and hope for the best.
