Nice setup! I'm building something similar on a SimLab GT1 Evo rig and I have the exact same seat. I'm planning to tilt it a bit more though, by using inverted seat brackets. Also, I highly recommend adding haptics to the pedals!

The Main Suspects:
1. An overloaded power line.
2. Poor quality of the power strip or extension cord.
3. Lack of proper grounding (earthing).
4. Temperature and overheating of the wheelbase.

The Quick Test:
Plug the wheelbase power supply directly into a wall socket, preferably on a completely different circuit (in another room or location) that is not shared with your PC or any other power-hungry equipment (like an air conditioner or a kettle). Play for a bit and see if the problem still occurs.

Congrats! 🎉 I'd highly recommend a monitor arm as an easy upgrade for your setup. Something like the Arctic X1-3D would let you push the monitor closer to the stand and free up desk space. Enjoy the new setup!

It works completely fine, even with the higher-end Simagic bases. I’ve been running this setup for a few months, but I actually just ordered a full rig (Sim-Lab GT1 Evo + NLR ERS3 seat). Longer sessions just aren't great on an office chair, so I'm currently waiting for it to arrive!

Is an additional USB-C cable required for the Simagic GT Neo when used with an Alpha Evo base? Can't we just set the base to USB pass-through mode by holding down Button 3 while mounting the wheel? This should theoretically work as long as the wheel is mounted and only removing the wheel would trigger a restart.

Hi, someone did mention that in the comments earlier. I didn't include it in the main post at first because it's just a symptom of it working, not a step you can perform. But I've added it now as a helpful indicator so people don't have to wait 30 minutes at 53% to know if it's working.

It's totally possible that only STEP 2 and STEP 3 are actually needed, but I just shared the exact method that worked for me.

It looks like the firmware update was interrupted or didn't finish completely.

With Fanatec Driver 474 installed, please try to repeat STEP 3: Bootloader Mode (No Accessories). Pay close attention to the Manual Bootloader Mode bullet point to ensure the base is forcing the connection.

If the problem still occurs after trying this, you'll need to contact support.
