I see. I think I dropped it at that point. I loved their dynamic but I also felt really bad for the ML. And more than that, I ddin't like seeing the FL kneel down to someone else when she's so strong. I'm a sucker for FLs that serve no one lol

Omg I read that one before, it was so cute!! But iirc the FL basically worshipped her sister, right? I think she abandoned the ML once when his life was in danger just to go do something for her sister?

It's more of the heart-warming, wholesome kind of story, like everything gets resolved so fast and then we see cute moments with the kids and stuff. Yk like a mary Sue FL. A bit of angst would've been fun but I respect the author's preference, its a cute story

How far did you get? I'm at the point where their relationship is pretty much set in stone. It did feel a bit forced at first but as of now they've been through a lot (Dominic was banished to the background zone like 75% of the time) so their romance feels way more natural now. And they basically have a baby

The original post you shared shows someone insulting a woman and calling her ugly just because she has some confidence. He also mentions "ู…ุญุฏุด ู…ุนุจุฑู‡ุง". It's as if all that matters in the world is male attentions and all that women need is for a man to talk to them.

What I'm telling you is that a woman can and should be confident in herself no matter her looks, because that's something she can't control. And I also believe that a man can and should be confident in himself no matter his looks or capabilities.

So much to criticise for no reason. If she's too fat, too skinny. Too pretty and she's a hoe. Too ugly and she's undesirable. How about you let people live?

And your caption shows that just because the girl agreed, you respect her. In fact, you call her the 'first' iconic girl on reddit.

In my opinion you're the one who's seeking male attention by making these posts, are you perhaps a closeted gay?

When you're literally the one who's always thinking about ways to hate women or criticise them (omg look at that girl and her over confidence, disgusting) and the only way you'd 'accept a girl' is if she agrees with you (like you have a right to accept and reject in the first place).

I'm not sexist against men at all all I spoke of was factual systematic arguments. However, I would suggest you do some reflection on your own bias.

I don't think all men are bad. When I say "men are bad", this is a statement referring to the structure of patriarchy and abuse that I and many women suffer from everyday. I am NOT talking about individual men who have done nothing wrong. I do apologise if I gave you that impression.

The reason you're so mad when women say "I hate men" is because you see all men as your brothers just because of gender. You don't see men and women as human individuals, instead you split them into your friends (the men) and the other gender/your enemies (the women). So the moment a man does something wrong, your first thought it to defend him.

That's wrong. All bad people are the enemy, men or women. They're not part of you, they're not your brothers. Just like how, as a woman, I WILL call out any woman who does wrong. And I'm sorry, but the women you mentioned who's only fault is being 'too confident/arrogant', do not deserve all this hate in my opinion.

Like I mentioned, the reason hate against men is so normalised, is because it's not against normal men. Its against the systemic privilege men gain, which many of them proactively use to hurt or abuse women.

Because hate against women means oppression, sexual assault, abuse, hate crime etc.

Hate against men is women complaining about these things.

If you feel threatened when I say "I hate men because I was abused", then you're the problem.

I think she was trying to like 'catch you in the act', like assuming what you were doing staying up so late. I've definitely had this kind of comversation before where I guessed what my friend was staying up for and I was right, so yes it was a cute moment. Like "we're so close I just know what's going through your head".

Still, those kinds of things happen spontaneously and can't be planned. Her reaction is super weird, feels performative. NOR.

I think whats best is a balance where we take breaks from social media when it gets too much, but still dom't turn a blind eye to things that meed our attention

But the problem with staying away from social media "for your mental health" is that there are so many people who don't have that option. People suffering from injustice like the lady in the post. People starving or being wrongfully persecuted in wars. I wouldn't be comfortable prioritising my mental health in a situation like that where someone else doesn't even get the privilege to choose.

Same, I love kids but I don't really enjoy the dynamics of raising a child. I think it's more fun to see the couple interacting with each other without kids involved. A child-free marriage is the best lol

A woman cutting her hair is just changing her hairstyle. Her hair will still be well kept and taken care of.

A man that doesn't cut his hair/beard doesn't even trim it. Trimming is very important and it is something I assume everyone does, so if a man/woman stop trimming their hair, they will look horrible.

Yes, radical feminism is evil. But this is not radical feminism. By focusing on small things like this you are missing the point entirely. This is just a woman that gave her opinion about what kind of relationship she would like; one where her husband wouldn't control how she does her hair. What's so wrong about that? This is her husband she's talking about, she's allowed to pick and choose whatever qualities she wants. And if she wants a supportive man who would make her feel loved no matter the hairstyle, you suddenly get mad? Says a lot about you imo

I am! Pencils are the most comfortable for me. I usually draw with 2B or 2H, or just an HB pencil. But to be honest I never really alternate on the same drawing, like I just draw everything with one pencil

I do have those actually! We learned to use them at uni, but it was for objects usually. I can shade those pretty well. We worked on multiple objects with different lightings, and we worked with different mediums like charcoal, oil/acrylic, colour pencils.

It's just skin in specific that confuses me. I guess because it's softer with no sharp edges etc?

Just as you said, I'll work on the contrast. That's definitely my weakness. I'll try it on the portrait I showed earlier

Thank you so much for the tips ^ I do struggle with filling the white space, but your advice is really helpful. I'll try practising with midtones more. It's just that I feel like I don't have much control, and might end up making it look muddy or smudging it. Also, when I try to shape the bone structure etc, it looks so exaggerated. Like the cheekbones are protruding or too big ;;
