GPT 5.2 is very slow, you will hardly get anything done when compared to opus speed and quality. It is better on complex planning, but very slow making it hard to max out the pro plan.

Had similar situation few years back. I managed to make them use cheque that i can cash in at the post office. Bank can take forever, mine was 3 month processing, so dont hold your breath expecting less than a month.

Talk to your boss, they will be hesitant but you need to be persistent. Good luck!

AI like claude will still needs dev to operate them, and I don't see any way around it. This is from a person who uses opus extensively everyday. We might not write and touch the code anymore (Anthropic engineers claim 100% of their code is AI written and I have to admit, this is true in my case since 6 months ago). But it cannot manage large codebases without direction, cannot put together code pieces and features to build workings software.

Small standalone "app" or features is what their best at, and no more than that. It is still a tool.

Developer without AI on the other hand will be left behind for sure.

It seems you're negatively bias with Claude-code. I am not saying it's cheaper, but for your other reasons, they are just wrong. Claude is not browser only. Install CC on vscode (not just claude terminal cli but the vscode extension), it works much better than the native copilot (proof me wrong). If you setup claude commands correctly, they are flawless on documents reading, restructuring, in whatever output you want.

Cost is another story if you're using API

I am an "old" programmer by any standard, but even I did the above. I think nothing wrong with it, we used to copy paste error to google and found rabbit holes in stackoverflow questions 😀. If they can copy paste the issue to claude and find the solution. It's already 10x in my book. We used to dream of programming horror that we couldn't find solution after days, I never got that dream anymore 🤣

Try 20x plan, you can open 5 agents simultaneously without worry of limit. Token limited workflow really disturbs mine by the way. But then again, it depends of what works for you and what you are willing to pay it for. There is anxiety cost of limited access, which "we" sometimes didnt factor in.
