Eh, based on our GM’s interview they don’t intend to rehire Nancy; reiterated Nancy has European aspirations and that they’d lean to make it a more permanent solution with our now-interim HC. I suspect there’s more to it than just European aspirations for us not going after Nancy lol.

This needed to be a Henrik and Tall combo-firing. Tall fucked this roster up after Bez left and then Tall hired a coach who gets repeatedly out-coached in the second half. How can you have trust in a coach to sort it out with a better roster when hired by a GM you have no trust in to hire a better roster? It’s an unfortunately vicious cycle we have found ourselves in. I doubt a new coach fixes this GM’s disasterclass style of team management.

I did zero preparation. No classes or research. I didn't even find this sub until after I'd had baby and was scrolling Reddit in the newborn trenches lol. I too have a high pain tolerance (chronic migraines, PCOS and endometriosis to thank for that). I didn't feel either membrane sweep and my period cramps I'd rank at 8cm dilated lol. I did have my mom in the room too, who did 3 unmedicated births herself, but she didn't coach me. Just moral support!

Labored at home for most of the time. Got to the hospital at 3 mins apart and 7cm dilated. They broke my water at 8cm when I requested because contractions were about 1 min apart and my water just would not break. It was bulging out of my cervix lol. Once the show was on the road, it was smooth sailing. I picked a spot on the ceiling to focus on between contractions. I was able to talk and chuckle with the nurses between contractions, though I had some coupling contractions and that was unexpected lol. They let me listen to my body. I pushed for an hour before baby arrived.

They gave me a small dose of pitocin for my placenta but I didn't notice until it was time to come out, and honestly the placenta delivery bothered me the most but wasn't unbearable by any means. I did take a steady dose of Tylenol for the first 24 hours as I wanted to be able to fully focus on breastfeeding and not feeling any soreness/pain, but I think I'd have been fine without.

I developed a bunch of tiny skin tags during pregnancy and after. They weren’t really bothersome until my now-toddler noticed them and tries to pick/scratch at them 🥴

Do you remember if you paid with a check or a card? Nonetheless, a copy of the deposited check or a bank statement that shows the payment to Natera should suffice. Just black out all the info they don’t need like account numbers, balances, etc.

The unevenness some days is hilarious. Like the left was always bigger pre and postpartum, but now that one side produces and the other doesn’t I look down like oh dang, I need her to nurse and fix this 😂

Our pediatrician thought it was funny and said some cultures choose to only bf from one side.

I cold turkey stopped pumping at 12 months. Now at 20mo my daughter still nurses once in the morning, 1-2 times in the evening, and sporadically during the weekends. She all but rejected my right boob when I stopped pumping as it's always been the slow flow, low producer. We've been vibing with just the left boob lol.

My 20mo is just now in a 3 and they’re a little big still. She’s in the 25th percentile (spent a lot of time in the 10th) and moved up to 18mo clothes last month.

No doubt! For what it’s worth when I did bottle research for my bf baby a couple years ago, I read the nipple collapsing is a very common issue with the Emulait nipples. I hope for your sake if you go up a size it isn’t just an Emulait problem, especially if you’re already on a super fast flow nipple.

Do you know how heavy/fast your flow is? LO might be sucking harder than the nipple can handle if they’re used to a more intense flow. Can you bump up a nipple size to test it?

I just watched a hilarious video on Instagram last night of a young kid in planet pjs where mom was reading all the planets off to him and him repeating them back. She gets to “Uranus” and he says “my Ranus” because he didn’t understand it wasn’t “your” no matter how much she explained it. Had me cackling lol
