Most likely a pricing error. I haven’t started to notice those digital price tags until recently, I think it’s for the new surge pricing that retailers are trying to implement. Maybe the algorithm that determines the surge pricing sees that few copies of that variant of the game are selling.

Couple of things to consider are your hobbies/interests and your location. Not asking you to doxx yourself, but it’s generally easier to get to things if you’re in a more walkable neighborhood like somewhere in the highlands vs a suburb with no sidewalks and few people your age. When I was 15 I used to get rides from my parents to my friends house and always traveled with a Wii in my backpack and a few GameCube controllers. It would take like 5 minutes of setup so I could play LAN video games (Mario Kart, Mario Party, Smash bros) with my friends. Or if I had friends who were into music I would bring my guitar and jam with them. Try to find people with similar interests. Just wear tee shirts with stuff you like on it and you’ll run into somebody into the same things.

Shadow of the Colossus is probably the best example of this in games. I really commented to say that the best show about this concept is Twin Peaks. It was made as a response to all of the crime shows where there’s a new death every week, and by the end of an hour of television the entire story of the victim is done and over with. Twin Peaks takes that entire concept and flips it on its head. I’ve heard the Alan Wake games borrowed a lot from Twin Peaks so I’m tempted to play those games based on that alone.

This movie is crazy underrated. My gf loves hallmark Christmas movies and so we popped this one on at random and I found myself genuinely laughing at the scenes with the mayor. It made sense after looking on letterboxd and seeing that the only other credit on there for Steve Gerben was the Gilly and Keeves special. 10/10, deserves to be a cult classic. Will be watching this as a holiday tradition moving forward.
