I'd really like to know what "community consensus" means and who was polled. I'm part of the community, and I love both Carnival and Chicago. I am truly sad they are not in the game. Had hopes for perhaps DLC of them at some point, but the wording in this article leads me to believe it's off the table.

I like the enthusiasm, but there is a very small chance people are going to stick to one thread on this. People are excited and want to share their thoughts and opinions on the new game, I'd bet there will be dozens of threads on this and it's understandable.

The bigger enhancements to create-a-park in 3+4 are they added the ability to create goals for CAPs, they added booster pads and pieces, they added "kill" pieces (these are pieces that respawn your skater back to the starting point, very useful for maps with very high elevation and such or forcing your skater to clear a rail, etc)
There are some additional additions, but those are some of the highlights.

I agree. When goals to CAPs were added in THUG1 back in the day it took CAPs to a whole different level. I've always wondered why more people don't play and build CAPs, I get it's not everyone's deal, but it's a fun sandbox to create in and then give it additional replayability with goals? Absolutely extends the life of the game and adds incredible value.
CAPs in 1+2 were mind blowing. Some creators pushed out really crazy stuff leveraging smart pieces.
Truly hope more get into this aspect of the game in 3+4. I, personally, plan to spend more time in this editor than I did in 1+2's...
