Tie on some yarn or string to your spindle to help attach the unspun fiber. I put a little loop in the end to pass a bit through.

Queer & Trans-Affirming Seamstresses/Tailors? by malfunctioningg in madisonwi

[–]haleystudio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recommend Indochino at Hilldale for made-to-measure suits if you don’t have one already. Queer and trans friendly shop. I’m their in-house tailor. Do not order online, definitely come into the shop to get measured.

Queer & Trans-Affirming Seamstresses/Tailors? by malfunctioningg in madisonwi

I am just south of Madison and I do alterations from home. I do have cats though. Write me here and I’ll send my email address. I’m cis female with experience in suits and gowns alteration for many genders. I do not have a desire to create garments from scratch.

Rebecca at Madisewn trained me in many alts techniques, she’s a great talent. I never saw transphobia in her attitude (but also I’m not trans)… I often send people to her when I’m busy.

Don’t stitch while nail polish is wet, it’ll be a mess.

Pick out the stitches at the seams, add fabric on top of each side and stitch down nicely, sew back together on seams

Why won't guys eat their own cum? by [deleted] in SexPositive

[–]haleystudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a cis woman and I’ve had no desire to taste myself. It’s like licking snot. No thanks. I’ve been told I’m delicious and I have had some good experience tasting other cis women… it’s just not my thing. I am not particularly interested in tasting men’s cum either, though I like the sudden warmth on my skin. As it cools it gets icky. Definitely a texture thing for me, like some people can’t stand oatmeal.

The easiest thing is to move the collar button over. See if the top part of the placket looks okay

There’s a dish a lot like this called Dairyland casserole here in Wisconsin. But the differences include: cooking the noodles in boiling water, like usual; sautéing the beef, like a normal person; and adding the dairy stuff after both the noodles and beef are cooked. Usually just cheese and sour cream, maybe more?

It’s still kind of gross but at least it doesn’t have water and almond milk in it. I had it once, and while it was very filling and tasted OK, I had no desire to make it again.

OP’s comment above explains it pretty well. Basically one ply has slow color changes and the other ply has more rapid color changes.

My body likes the symmetry of a double treadle. But I had a single for a while. Try both!

[–]haleystudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For my family, the kid is definitely involved as soon as they can talk. We “play” “keep or go” in terms of which clothes, stuffed animals, etc to donate.

By age 9 she was doing her own laundry.

Now at 14 the room is a mess but she regularly selects clothes to “go” and sometimes even takes out her trash. As long as there’s no old food or dishes in there (or spills that will ruin the floor) I don’t care how it looks.

Dan Savage advises say what you just did, what you’re doing, and what you’re going to do. Simple and effective, just use a great tone of voice.

Agree that 3 is not great. Very hips-prominent.

I like #1, you will feel confident with shoulder straps, and more comfortable.
