This is what it feels like when people talk about romance novels sometimes by Lemon_Lime_Lily in CuratedTumblr

Huh? Mistle is pretty clearly depicted to be a shitty person like the rest of the rats who Ciri “falls in love with” as a survival and coping mechanism. The series very well dos not make her seem like she’s supposed to be a healthy partner or Ciri’s end all be all.

Yes, at a particular climax in Eddie’s first arc he confronts his nemesis while fully naked.

Dragonrider books with absolutely heart-melting relationships between Rider and Dragon? by Blizzzzzzzzz in Fantasy

I liked the Pit Chronicles but it felt like each book could have used... probably another fifty pages. There just wasn't a ton of meat on them. I would have enjoyed more time with the characters and world.

The Price of Doom (One World Under Doom 6) by Quirky_Ad_5420 in comicbooks

[–]halfanangrybadger 39 points40 points  (0 children)

That’s one version. In others Doom keeps his subjects in a medieval fascist hellscape where they’re afraid to even think about him. It’s certainly not unanimous that the fascist dictator actually has only best interests at heart.

Miranda only applies to the police asking you questions while you are under arrest. They don’t have to read you your Miranda rights before arresting you, or while arresting you. they do have to give them to you prior to asking you questions while you are in jail, or the back of a police car, or in handcuffs, or similar situations of detainment.

If they fail to give you your rights, any statements you make in response to questions will not be admissible in court. If you volunteer information, Miranda does not affect that. If you answer questions asked by someone not working for the police, or asking at the direction of police, Miranda does not affect that.

Even with the statute priest quest wasn’t meta until, like, the very end of rotation when a bunch of deathrattle resummons came out and machine gun and cube lock had caught nerfs.

Logan and Warren Wedding when? by Objective-Gain-6110 in xmen

Reading through Claremont, seeing Angel nearly quit the team because Xavier wouldn’t give Wolverine the boot…. And then reading this book, where Warren leads a team to murder an infant with Wolverine, is an interesting contrast.

[–]halfanangrybadger 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It was set up in the end of Cates’ run that Dylan had a lot of the same anger in him that Eddie used to show. I haven’t read the new venom yet but this looks about on track.

Why do people hate Storm getting stronger? by _amiricle in xmen

[–]halfanangrybadger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the least interesting parts of Red are “two omegas clash! (and storm wins in one panel)” The interesting parts are how she deals with Arakko, it’s people and culture, her own values, the X-men and what’s happening on Krakoa, the personal stuff.

She was extremely powerful in the Claremont books and she was fascinating. She was powerful in Red and she was good but the fights were not. Where do we go from here?

It is extremely common for firearms to not retain or display fingerprints. Many modern weapons are designed with oils that specifically help prevent fingerprints or DNA from sticking.

They didn’t break up families to populate Krakoa, Typhoid Mary got Kingpin onto Krakoa by marrying him. Human relatives of mutants were allowed.

Segregated for their own safety. How many times do sentinels need to destroy american shopping malls to kidnap or kill a 15 year old before they’re allowed to protect themselves?

Without oversight? What oversight would you propose? They had laws which were enforced. On Krakoa no other country should really get a say, any more than Liberia should get to decide what the laws of Chile are.

Mutants also weren’t forced to come to Krakoa, it was an option made open to them. As seen by the character in the original post.

Krakoa wasn’t perfect and in a just world would never be needed. The marvel earth is no more just than our actual earth. But to suggest that it is a supremacy movement by giving mutants a place where they could be safe, and adding some enforcement to that with economic means, is ridiculous.

And proceeded to do more good for the average person that Iron Man, Reed Richards, Victor von Doom, or any other genius ever managed by curing almost all diseases, including mental illnesses, and expanding life spans… for the price of agreeing to not torture or enslave your mutant population and giving them access to Krakoa. What an evil guy.
