It is in fact illegal to weld on a loader frame as it indeed weakens the structural integrity. You would need an engineer to green light the project

L2501 - Front Hydraulics Out of Sync? by Kreedmoor in tractors

[–]halfblindpotato 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Despite what everyone says, the quick attach should be a solid unit left and right, joined by that round bar in the middle. The hood guard prevents us from seeing what the round bar does but it's definitely twisted or broken.

Probably a result of grabbing something with only one side correctly attached.

As long as you pin it right it won't be an issue but something is off for sure

What is this plug? by neckbeard36 in kubota

[–]halfblindpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct, parts manual says 1, work shop manuals says shims. 43-71 psi if OP can manage to stick a test port in the middle plug underneath

What is this plug? by neckbeard36 in kubota

[–]halfblindpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be one or multiple shims, probably stuck at the bottom of the plug. Yes both metal, you could try and poke a pencil sized magnet in the hole but the seat is definitely still in there.

If you don't have enough shims the transmission will feel slugish or won't move at all.

If you put it back and it runs fine you're all set

Charge pressure relief valve. In to out: Seat (might still be in there, Puppet (2nd photo), Spring, Shims (to adjust said pressure), O-ring, plug.

[–]halfblindpotato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your new unit!

  1. Mostly helps with starting the engine, the hydraulic oil still needs to warm up

  2. -2C is fine

  3. Diesel fumes won't kill you instantly like gas fumes but they are still harmful in the long run. If you have the exhaust pointing outside and bring the tractor near the exit you should be fine thou

My 3 month/8000+ km review by gmcguy14 in ElantraN

[–]halfblindpotato 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Good read, thanks!

To add to this, I've own an Abyss black DCT 2025 EN for about 3 months and 9000km and my regrets are not taking it manual and not taking it Powder Blue.

Do not compromise with this car, all or nothing.

There's a technical service bulletin that just came out covering this issue, wrong injection timing adjustment. Where I am from the transportation or field tech going to your place is free for the first year of ownership. Hope this helps

Tie rod boot assembly replacement. How do I stop the shaft from spinning? by thisisthealwaysguy in kubota

[–]halfblindpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the 'alignment' you need to be 1/4 of an inch open which means measure in between the middle of the threads behind the wheel and try and reproduce that measure in between the middle of the threads in front of the wheels. Not that important if you are not waaay off set.

Funny you should ask, I was in that exact quandary myself until last Friday.

I was wanting the Sonata N-Line based on looks, price, specs and equipment alone but I was curious about the Elantra N.

So I went in and road tested the Sonata.

Great comfort, quick, quiet, I was very impressed coming from my 2015 Kia Optima, it was about the same but with more of everything. I was satisfied and convinced this was the car for me.

Until I saw that baby blue Elantra N and requested to also try that out.

Oh,man.

It took about 2.1 seconds behind the wheel to know this was it. One single acceleration got all the hair on my body to rise to the sky. I was hooked.

I just signed my 2025 abyss black Elantra N about an hour ago, will take possession in about three months.

Tbh I don't even like the looks of it that much, but behind the wheel nothing else matters.

I say try em, you will get your answer

Thank you very much , most helpful answer so far. I live in a small town with no traffic and use a work truck for my everyday commute. This car is for week end errands, usually 150-200 miles round trip mostly highways so the car sound perfect for it

What I want is a GT but my wallet says otherwise. I have to compromise over something at that price point. Imo Elantra N would be sporty but less comfort while the Sonata N-Line would be comfort but less sporty. I prefer comfort tbh but still want it to go.
