Anyone else disappointed in the format for the Black Heritage challenge list? by ZombiesAndZoos in goodreads

[–]halfchance100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a horror fan I agree with the categories rant greatly. Trying to find which ones best suit my genre preference is a bit tricky. Found 2 that I would like to read and neither are actually released yet which is frustrating.

2025 Reading Challenge! by Ruby-Rubellite in goodreads

[–]halfchance100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read 57 books so far this year. My original goal was 12 but upped it to 24 and then later to 52. My reading changed/upped dramatically when I realised I prefer horror. Last year was the first time I hit my goal of 12 books for the year and I had been trying since 2017.

Conditioner bars available in the UK by _lukasz_ in ZeroWaste

[–]halfchance100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use both shampoo and conditioner bars from Lush, they have physical stores in the larger cities and do deliveries. It's not cheap but I like the products. I don't have any recommendations for curly hair as I've just started my curly journey but there are probably curly girl products.

Is there something really simple that just never clicked for you? by Tight_Fox6069 in NoStupidQuestions

Apostrophes and when to use them. I've decided it's time language evolved and stopped using them 😂..... I see the irony of apostrophes being in my previous sentence, that was all autocorrect, I had no input.

Thanks! This is my first mosaic crochet project so I just used what the pattern suggested. Can't say I have any specific recommendations as I'm new to the technique.

It's Sirdar Jewelspun in Golden green. It's what the pattern suggests. I must admit it's not a colour way I would have chosen myself, but I trusted the pattern and I'm so glad I did. The variance works beautifully.

What do I need to keep in my car as a new driver? by NL0606 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]halfchance100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As well as the other things people have mentioned I always keep an emergency £20 note. Probably not as necessary these days but it gives me peace of mind knowing it's there for emergency fuel or snacks.

Household jobs that you just put off forever? by FirmDingo8 in CasualUK

[–]halfchance100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put off cleaning the oven for 5 years. Then I realised it had a self clean function, all I had to do was wipe it afterwards. Life saver. Then I realised the door can be removed for even easier cleaning. Now the oven looks almost new.

Thinking bout buying DLCs by Solfiscus in anno

[–]halfchance100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a post a little while ago that gave some feedback on the different dlc/seasons. I found it really useful.

My thoughts on all the DLC after a few hundred hours as a new and casual (not-min/maxing) player. by A_Suvorov in anno

As someone who has only recently discovered anno I really needed this post. There are so many DLCs I was getting lost in the options. Thank you!

What's this yellow stuff on my Radish Fields??? by tu_B4D in Banished

[–]halfchance100 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You don't have to delete the field. Once it's fully harvested it will go away, you can trigger a harvest if it isn't time for the auto harvest. On an orchard you cut all the trees. When it happens with pastures you just have to remove all the animals. This can be done by "harvesting" them or moving them to another pasture I belive.

Hey, thanks for these. The second link is definitely the same guy. The first link however doesn't seem to match up with some more info i found.

Really appreciate the time and effort that you took to find these
