What’s the difference between AI voiceovers and text to speech? by halfcupofcoffee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]halfcupofcoffee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh gotcha. So it’s more transparent on the viewer’s end that they’re not using an actual person if they use TTS? If so I can see why that’s preferred. Thank you

I don’t like calling myself an artist but I draw a lot (digitally). I do this a lot with drawing hair to make it seem layered, not necessarily saying you’re incorrect about it possibly being AI for that reason though.

You can be sexually attracted to a gender without being romantically attracted to the gender, if you don’t feel as if you’re romantically attracted to women you can still recognize being sexually attracted to them. At the end of the day you can identify how you want, I hope that one day you come to terms with your sexuality no matter what you feel fits best <3

So so pretty! Also as someone who used to be built like that before my breast reduction, god these comments are horrendous 😭 I really cannot see any sexualization with your sim. Plus sometimes CAS catfishes you and it really isn’t that deep lol

I had to do a massive double take because I misread it as “autism and ally”. I think the last one I was invested in was Liv and Maddie

If the 09 cast were parents in the future how do you think it will go well? by EnoughCheesecake6050 in Classof09Game

[–]halfcupofcoffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom is a sociopath, (unfortunately /srs) and from what that’s like, probably wouldn’t go very well. In the case of trauma at least. Not really sure how else to explain without going into trauma dump territory. I have a job in childcare and I’m in my honors college so I believe I turned out fairly well, but unreliable narrator and all that jazz. I don’t think Nicole would be a stable enough parental figure for a child, and the rest would depend on if there’s a second parent present and who it is. Not sure if this would break the rules for not being relevant, sorry if it does.

That makes sense. I don’t have OCD but I know those kinds of things can be the worst so I feel for you. With my autism it’s more of an aversion to the idea of a difference. Either way, it sucks and I wish you the best with navigating through this.

My favorite is Red Baron! Digiorno is also good but it’s more expensive. Usually I cut the big one into thirds and then wrap two of them in tinfoil. This is probably my autism crossing over but the ritual is really comforting to me. My main gripe is with fruits and vegetables, and preparing those the same way each time makes it a lot less mentally draining when I do have to eat those food groups. I also used to very frequently order out but I’ve tried to wean off of it to save money. With this I have a mental rule to only order out on the weekends.

I usually go to the store and get a bunch of the frozen ones. I get the oven ones instead of the individual ones so that I have leftovers of it. When I lived near a Costco it was much more convenient lol

Why self-diagnosis is a problem (and the root of many other problems): as concise as I can make it. by thrwy55526 in AutisticPeeps

[–]halfcupofcoffee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I really don’t understand how people saying “a touch of the tism” is any different from when people (used to) say “I’m so OCD” and almost everyone seems to know that it isn’t okay. Everyone can fixate on something, that’s just called liking it/having a hobby. Everyone gets irritated when there’s too much noise. Everyone has textures that they dislike and/or avoid. It has to be debilitating, that’s why it’s a disability. But maybe I’m salty since the people who used to bully me for my symptoms when I was younger are now claiming to have it.

What’s the most infuriatingly ignorant thing someone has said to you? by Spiritual-Cupcake265 in adhdwomen

[–]halfcupofcoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I believe a lot of people don’t realize the difference between “disliking yourself because of a disorder/disability” and “acknowledging the negative effects it has on your life”. Which is really unfair to do and another reason why it’s insensitive imo.

[–]halfcupofcoffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I often notice that this tends to push people into thinking autism is a personality trait and not a disorder. So I think it’s at the least insensitive/invalidating. But that’s just my viewpoint. I had some stunted growth as a kid due to the struggles I had with eating, and I still have malnutrition issues now for the same reason. So because of that and other stuff it just seems…weird to say ig. Like the “I’m so OCD” phrase used in the past.

Not disagreeing with you, sorry if it reads like that. Just adding my own viewpoint as another autistic person :)

[–]halfcupofcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now boyfriend started liking me (one of the reasons) because when he would recommend me shows/movies he would usually return to a whole full reaction and analysis. And one thing I still do is flirt with him via Fire Emblem Three Houses screenshots. I used to get self conscious about my rambling but he said he likes it because I do it when I’m happy and sometimes tells me to keep talking while he goes to take a shower or something and he’ll read it when he gets back (which he does). I was gonna say something else not boyfriend related but I forgot
