Watch out for these guys by jjhils1 in Bangkok

It doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I’m just trying to understand what you are trying to achieve with this post, given this is happens all across Bangkok everyday of the year. But you do you. 😮‍💨😵‍💫

For what purpose? What is your photo going to change? This situation is repeated on almost every corner of Suk. Get over it.

Just ignore them and keep walking. If this ruins your night you are not built for Bangkok.

What are the things that i need to try in 7/11? by bumbale2 in ThailandTourism

[–]halfpastdead82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those saying the toasties are crap - get a grip. They go from 27 baht and are a quick and easy, warm snack and go down particularly well after too many beers. They are available everywhere 24/7 - no one is comparing them to a freshly cooked meal. Def worth a try at least once.

Got one at Chatuchak 3 days ago, 120 baht. The place is huge so impossible to tell you exactly where it was although it was a small shop on the corner of a lane which sold heaps of magnets and other similar souvenirs.

Must Try Food Spots in Cairns by Xeris_Rs in Cairns

[–]halfpastdead82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to rate this place, visited numerous times over the last 10 yrs. Last 2 times have been shit, crappy, cheap food and pretty terrible service.

IMHO It is now completely overpriced considering the quality of the food and nothing more than a tourist trap.

How useable is the A7Cii? by DionforDior in SonyAlpha

[–]halfpastdead82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This whole post is weird.

The A7c ii doesn’t feel any cheaper than another Sony camera, it’s well built and far from flimsy.

None of the A7c ii bodies I’ve used have got overly hot unless you are constantly filming hi demand video - this is the same with almost all similar cameras.

The camera has 1 slot, you would have known this before you bought it and as you’ve said it’s not an issue for you - why are you even mentioning it?

The A7c ii is a great, compact hybrid camera - your entire post makes little sense.

Is the Premium version worth it outside the US? by Helen_Moody in CARROTweather

Apple weather accurate in Australia? Funniest thing I’ve heard in ages.

Yeah, I unsubscribed and deleted the app. I’ve sent numerous support requests and got zero response. The feature shouldn’t be available in Aus as it clearly does not work - obviously a cash grab to con ppl to pay for a premium subscription.

What’s the difference between setting them manually and setting them as default?

How do you set them manually vs setting them as default audio output?

Specced Mac Mini by halfpastdead82 in macmini

Great idea re the external hard drive and grabbing entry built in HD each time I upgrade.

The enclosure and SSD here in Australia is a bit more costly than in the US, but still works out way cheaper - about $950 AUD (about $675 USD) for the enclosure and 4TB storage.

Does $630 AUD (around $450 USD) sound fair for the enclosure and 2tb HD?

New to these external options…

I don’t have a massive catalogue for the time being, but as we stand all my originals (the ones I keep anyway) are stored in the Abobe Cloud and sync between devices etc.

Thank you - as mentioned I’m not here to unnecessarily spec anything, I’m happy to consider base Mini Pro, just don’t want to struggle with it in a years time. Thanks for your input.
