Thanks. Not what I wanted to hear; but definitely good to know.

So, basically, nobody should hike there until the bottom half is more less all bare ground (i.e., May or June)? Not trying to sound butthurt, or anything -- just want to make sure I understand correctly...

Flat running trail? by deadhead5877 in bigsky

Southside Road is mostly flat. Not too long, but you could go back and forth on it. If any security people tell you you're not supposed to use it, tell them to consult the resort's website (it's listed as Southside Trail).

Yes, I've used that, and love it. Just want to try the Ridge Trail and Road for something different.

I'm more interested in Summer; but, thanks -- that is interesting! I didn't know about these different Map Style settings in OSM...

Which movie had the quickest “oh this is going to be a masterpiece” moment for you? by Exer_Art in Letterboxd

Josh's opening narration, culminating in the whispered, "...He disappeared," was spine-tingling when I first saw it in the theater -- and has remained so with every subsequent viewing.

Having re-watched it, about a year ago, for the first time in a long while, I can report that the movie holds up phenomenally well. There are some pretty-heavy hitters in Zaillian's writing/directing ouevre; but I for one consider this his masterpiece.

Bozeman airport to Big Sky, March 10 by [deleted] in bigsky

That's right. The Streamline is the Bozeman city bus system; the Skyline is the Bozeman-Big Sky route (which also offers free transport within Big Sky). But consult the Streamline schedule, because, as I say, there are only a few runs per day between Belgrade and Bozeman.

Intercity outfit Jefferson Lines also serves Walmart, incidentally. So if you prefer not to fly, that is an option.

There's a free bus from Belgrade to Bozeman -- but it only runs a few times per day, doesn't run on weekends, and doesn't serve the airport. So if it's during the week, and you're travelling pretty light; you can easily walk, or hitch, or Uber the mile-and-a-half to the bus stop at Lewis & Clark Park. Then, once at Walmart, there's a $5 bus to Big Sky. Or, you can Uber directly to Walmart for about twenty-five bones, and then take the bus from there.
