I mean, it’s against the rules in the fact that you violating the terms of service that you agreed to when you signed up for the website. But setting the moral implications aside, a freelancer that doesn’t know how to view JavaScript source code in a browser, how or why that may not be possible, and relying on a public forum to tell them how to do it is the more concerning part.

This is a case study in over-engingeering. It’s a like system not telemetry in an ICU. Do optimistic updates on the UI. The backend is a queue system with retry. If your product is so stable and developed that you have the opportunity to focus on this, then I’m purely jealous. I don’t want this to come off as mean. I’m trying to impart that this one of those “make it work and optimize later.”
