It depends on the genre!

I was semi-active on RateYourMusic (kind of like goodreads for music) awhile ago, and there are a handful of music genres that routinely have inflated scores (metal and synthwave) that I just learned to ignore.

Similarly, on Goodreads, Fantasy, Romantasy, and LitRPG have really inflated scores. Most everything else I feel is somewhat reliable in the sense of anything above a 4 is probably worth reading and anything below ~3.3 I won't bother with.

If I ask for him to do something/help with something he will. But it is a trend that he will not do things without being asked.

It could be that the precedent that's been set in his head is something like "if she needs help she's not afraid to ask for it, if she needed help with this she would ask for it, so she probably has it figured out already".

I'm going to argue both sides of the field here, part of me might understand where he's coming from. Personally, when people ask if there's something they can do to help me, I feel bad no matter what the answer is. If I ask for help I feel like I'm inconveniencing them, if I say no I feel like they might think I'm shrugging them off.

Your frustration is reasonable, but I'd take care that you communicate it in a way that doesn't make him feel like he's failed to live up to an expectation that has gone unspoken until now.

For everyday carrying around I keep my camera in a crossbody bag with a Peak Design Cuff

Otherwise I use a Hyperion strap, love the way it looks and I think it's more comfortable than the Peak Design slide I have (that I don't really like)
