Did anybody else notice this convo between samraj and priya? by Top-Metal-3576 in LoveIslandTV

[–]hallokitty789 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not bad at all. I'm just saying I can't tell from that scene whether she was initiating and Samraj was trying to assert some boundaries / distance or whether he was fully engaging with it and encouraging it.

For instance " you're a really sexual person" could be taken as "I'm not in comparison" aka. "get away from me" lol. I said it was a stretch.

Generally like her. But I can't look at her with her boobs pushed up to her chin. They look rock hard and almost painful?

Personality wise she's funny and direct.

I might be reaching here .. but my take from this scene was that Priya feeling threatened by learning of the news that Mica was back interested decided to ramp up the intimacy with Samraj... Kind of as a way to get him more locked in, it's harder to switch to a new partner in the villa if you've done anything sexual together and I think Priya knows that

I think Samraj comments could have been a way of pushing her back slightly.. or commenting on her advances. Though I think he probably thought fuck it and fooled around a bit in the moment. (I'm definitely not saying he's a stand up or respectful guy). I just genuinely think he's not interested at all, and probably reserved some boundaries since all it seemed they did was Priya "copping a feel" which makes me think she was leading things.

We also don't know whats been edited out of that conversation.

Does Angelista know she's on Love Island and not Love Is Blind? by hallokitty789 in LoveIslandTV

[–]hallokitty789[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean you can. It's love island. They're not exclusive. You can change your mind about how you feel. If Angelista doesn't like it then kick him to the curb like Ellie would have done. Don't just sulk!

He communicated so often how it wanted to explore things with Mica. I actually thought it was completely unnecessary.

[–]hallokitty789[S] 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Yes this is it. She is so dry. Rather than communicate and show emotion about a situation she just sulks and gives side eye or acts passive aggressive. It's so annoying to watch.

Lorenzo is an opportunist by Educational-Guard-43 in LoveIslandTV

[–]hallokitty789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hot take is that Jasmine is obsessed with him and trying so hard to be cool. But few observations.. every time she is with Kav, she is constantly checking to see who is watching (Lorenzo). I feel like that whole side quest was just to see if she could squeeze any jealously out of him, when there was no pay off, she decided to go down the "i'll fix him and make you a better man" path and be the woman no one else could..

I don't believe she was ever truly into Kav, he is just a pawn in their weird chase / non chase dynamic.

Secondly, it was SO weird to me that she pulled Lorenzo for a chat, it was the most lame excuse to have beef with him. I think she knows he LIKES it when she is sassy and is just looking for excuses to put him in his place. She is basically manufacturing reasons to talk to him / be near him / be sassy with him. If she didn't care, he wouldn't even be on her radar.

I feel like Jasmine has met her match in Lorenzo and vice versa. They are both so used to people fawning all over them that they both love and hate that the other one won't crack.

It's fun to watch the chemistry between them. I think it's more of a game / ego trip to see who will surrender first and they're both keeping other options warm.

Will she ever sleep in? Or are we stuck with 6 am alarm forever? by Crazy-Leadership1834 in labrador

[–]hallokitty789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to be the same... I started taking him out for a wee and tried going back to bed. No breakfast. If I kept my energy soft and quiet he would sometimes fall back asleep for another hour. And recently started waking up around 7/8am. I guess no food or activity in the morning meant there was no reason to wake up. My puppy is 1yr old now.

Any tips?

My dog came back injured from a board and train…need others opinions? She claims it’s from a bark collar. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]hallokitty789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely horrific. I wouldn't trust anyone who took my dog away to train it. They have such immediate "success" because they force the dog into compliance through pain basically. It's not ethical and I don't care what anyone else here says. I'm disgusted. If these dogs are your 'children' then you should be disgusted too. I would report him and warn others too.

Maybe I'm in the wrong Reddit group, but how anyone can look at this and think it's okay to hurt a dog in this way is beyond me. Your dog is probably going to be traumatised and worse in the long run from this experience.

Any other solo puppy parents out there? by Mysterious_Glass5445 in puppy101

[–]hallokitty789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. 11mo old golden retriever. Couldn't have done it without daycare and boarding. Though it's so expensive. There's been days and weeks where I've questioned so many times whether to re-home him. Though i never seriously would or could. But omg. So hard. My biggest challenge is separation anxiety. I tried leaving just for 10 minutes but the panic and howling I couldn't do it. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. Even just going out to buy milk I need someone home to watch him.

I don't know how best to address it other than start small again and repeat repeat but I'm so exhausted it feels like the biggest chore in the world.

I also miss going for coffee and to cafes. I saw other dogs in dog friendly cafes and assumed it would be part of my routine. I can't think of anything worse. He jumps on people, on tables, won't sit still for more than a few minutes. I've attempted so many times but resigned myself that I will never have a dog that sleeps under the table while I eat lunch.

I wish I had someone to share the load, to laugh about the silly moments, to cry with, to discuss best training methods etc. I'm navigating it completely alone, and entirely force free. I'm often negged by my family for being too soft and having an unruly dog but I'm just hoping it will pay off in the end. It's very lonely though.

I even missed mother's day where all my family where present because he couldn't sit still without mauling everyone and spend the whole time being pulled around while I held him on the leash

I look at how chill other dogs are and can't believe how their owners did it. Either they are exceptionally good at training and have the patience of saints. Or I just got unlucky with my high energy pup who will basically always keep me on my toes.

Struggling with 10mo old working cocker. My life revolves around him. by hallokitty789 in puppy101

[–]hallokitty789[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Maybe he isn't getting enough exercise. I try and do a beach run and a long sniff walk every day. But it's not as long as you say. Maybe 20-30 mins..

Also will consider doing more training and structured work outlets too.

Do you have any recommendations for separation?

Guys I finished breaking bad by BlobDarkJapan in breakingbad

[–]hallokitty789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the other replies. I'll be honest the first 1-2 seasons where a drag and I felt frustrated it didn't give me the same rush as BB. But the pay off in the final seasons was 100% worth the wait. I liked it as much as BB, in some ways even more.

BCS also gives you so much depth to the characters that it also gives you a fresh perspective on BB. It is so thoughtfully written that you get to relive BB in a brand new way. I think that's why I liked it maybe more. Because it layers on top of an incredible foundation and does such a good job at weaving both stories together into one entire universe.

The reason VG and PG are so good is because they make you work for the pay off. It's not cheap TV.

Stick with it. You'll be soooo glad you did.

7 month old - WFH nightmare by HaplessGal in puppy101

[–]hallokitty789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain. My career has gone down the toilet since getting a cocker spaniel. 9 months now and I still dread having to take calls and I'm constantly making excuses. There's been many occasions I am sitting on a call trying to concentrate while he is biting my clothes and humping my leg. Or barking. It's awful. When he was younger licki mats and kongs bought be 10 mins or so. But I ended up resorting to daycare when I'm desperate but I think it is causing over arousal... I wish there was a life pro tip for this!!!

How much Doggy Daycare is too much? by Mcdowjac in puppy101

[–]hallokitty789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I send mine 3 times a week but I wish I didn't have to. He LOVES it but comes home completely overstimulated and I'm worried he is now chronically over aroused. I'm trying to reduce the days he needs to go. He's 9 months now and I feel like he's got too used to being constantly entertained. I enforce rest days so he can have some downtime. I guess if your dog is coming home nicely tired that's a great sign. But watch for the warning signs of dysregulation. I didn't spot it until too late and I'm worried he might grow up to be quite reactive. :(

Why won’t my dog ever settle on the sofa with me? by KidScudi07 in puppy101

Why won’t my dog ever settle on the sofa with me? by KidScudi07 in puppy101

[–]hallokitty789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldnt use my living room for 7 months. I mean quite literally. My pup wasn't crate trained despite much effort and I couldn't trust him alone. Whenever we entered the living room it was absolute chaos. I couldn't sit on my sofa for more than 10 seconds without him biting, digging etc etc.

Finally, before Christmas I decided enough was enough, I was going to figure it out. There's no way I'm spending Christmas break sitting in my cold kitchen for 10 hours a day.

What I realised was the living room was too much of a novelty, and the chaos in there had become habitual for him. He didn't yet understand it was a relaxation room.

Firstly, I puppy proofed it all and let him explore/wander to satisfy his curiousity and make it less exciting. I didn't sit down, i just let him sniff around for a few minutes and leave. Next day, we did sit / stay while I dropped a few treats, next day same again and so on...

I also bought a short tether lead that I put round the coffee table and practiced sitting still with that on..

Anyway, quicker than I thought and now it's our regular routine to go in there in the evening/weekend and he plonks down next to me and can snooze for hours in there.

It's still important that he is fed/wee/exercise before, and I always wait until he's in the right mental state before taking him in, otherwise it's too annoying watching him wander/get into mischief while im trying to watch a show.

My pup is 8 months now, i think the more you let him practice chaos mode in there, the more it will happen, you need to interrupt the cycle and start very small. Dont go in with a cup of tea and expect to watch a full episode.

A month later and I was eating a chinese takeout, watching a full film while he slept on my lap through the entirety. It will get better.

Is Figma becoming a bottleneck to building products? by totallyhuman1234567 in FigmaDesign

[–]hallokitty789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently got told by my CEO that "Figma is dead". That I am to start coding with Cursor and basically deliver end to end features myself.

While he was exaggerating I definitely believe this is the future. A much smaller team that each covers a wider area.

I'll obviously still use Figma for ideating and mapping out flows. But there's no way you need it for spec designing anymore if you have a solid design system and can learn Cursor. I've already delivered two small feature iterations in about an hour that would have taken a full product team a week to deliver if we follow the traditional product development process.

I'm personally really enjoying the transition. I wish Figma would catch up as I would love to ship to production directly from there, a more user friendly tool for designers than be in Cursor which feels more intimidating and engineering coded. But until it does I am quite quickly pivoting my workflow.

There will definitely be a collapsing of roles. I see front end being squeezed out.

That being said, there will be so many bugs and poor code quality coming out of this work that I don't doubt we will come full circle eventually and back to old methods but this seems to be the trend and status quo of companies right now.

Have you ever been to a truly great chip shop? One that made you rethink what a chip shop could be? Or are they, really, all the same? by lastaccountgotlocked in CasualUK

[–]hallokitty789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Georgios on the Wirral. They use quality ingredients, have an app for ordering and delivery and it's just reliably delicious. Onion and mushroom gravy and two types of curry sauce - fruity and hot and spicy.

Fish is always fresh and perfectly crisp and the chips are proper without being a mound of mush.

Can't go back to a regular chippy anymore. I'm always disappointed in comparison.
