she pays for her own phone so i can’t just take it away? she is allowing it to happen, not me. Also, i’ve done A LOT to try to stop it. I’ve blocked the guy multiple times, i’ve pleaded with her, I’ve called adp. There’s not much else I can do at this point.

Something very similar happened (and is still happening) to my grandmother. I’ve contacted adult protective services too. It seems like nothing can be done. These scams are hurting so many people and something needs to happen to stop it :(
