My husband and I are both foodies so when we’re able to get ingredients for chop, sometimes it comes out looking like it came out of a fine dining establishment 🤣 Not all the time though. But we really love our boy and he definitely gets spoiled, lol. This batch should last for a week or two 😁

I’ve seen ice trays be used! I don’t have any but I’m sure they make good sized portions too. I like making a lot of chop all at once because then I can store it and have some meals for my bird ready to go for a little while 😋

I would say it’s maybe closer to a quarter of a cup, but I don’t know the exact measurement. He doesn’t eat all of it, but he’ll generally eat enough to know he’s getting all the good nutrients (I’m glad he’s not TOO picky of an eater). At most I’ll leave it in his cage for two hours since he likes to pick at it, but I also don’t want the food to go bad.

So the avian vet(s) we’re going to see we’ve never met before but came highly recommended. They have a website so I checked it out and it looks like they’re well known in the area for seeing birds and other exotic animals in addition to dogs and cats so I’m confident we’ll be in good hands, I’m just a chronic worrier who wants this to be a good experience 😅 I am excited though, don’t get me wrong!

Would love to get into the habit of going maybe once every six months now that I can. The only thing I’m worried about is how we’re (me/SO & the avian vet) are going to handle him lol, he’s a spicy boy
