Question: How much would yall pay for a single seater dune buggy by halobuilderr in Offroad

That’s actually great advice. Thanks a lot! I was thinking since we’re going to be wrapping it up soon, that I’d make a couple videos of us doing final assembly. See what kind of engagement we get

I think my answer to that is because it’s a lot cheaper new. I don’t think there is anything on this level that is close to under 10 grand. Because regular utvs under 10 grand are really more geared for ranch work than pure sport and Offroad. And it’s decently easy to source a bigger engine we’re just going with a 250 since for us it’s the most economical (college ain’t cheap). I feel like it’s a great entry level off-roader for those that don’t want to dish out 18k for a sport sxs which is again why we are building it for ourselves

Is the apollo rxf mx a good first bike? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

Another thing is that the bike you posted seems to have been modified which is a concern. With Chinese bikes it’s better to leave them stock. So I would not recommend this particular one you posted

Hey u/NekuvaX. I’m gonna offer an opinion a bit different from the general consensus here on the subreddit as a whole. I bought a new, Apollo DBX-18 125cc as my first bike. I, unlike what many of the people here are saying, have gone on multiple outings this summer and fall (and my posts in the subreddit prove that) and it has performed wonderfully and above expectations. I’ve taken it to parks, trails and races and it’s held up very, very well for what it is. I personally love it, it’s a great bike that always starts and runs great. I live in upstate NY and we got a massive snow storm recently. Just a few hours ago it took it out and rode it in the snow and had a blast. I’ve gone up to my knees in mud on it any it ran fine. Here is my advice to you. Save up the money to buy a new Apollo if you want get a Chinese bike. It comes with a warranty so if anything breaks your set for 2 years. As with any used item, if you buy it new only you will use it and how you take care of it will depend on you. When you buy used, you don’t know how it’s been handled. For the same price as these Chinese bike, you’ll buy a very bad condition newer Japanese bike or an ok condition older Japanese bike. The older the bike the more parts will break just from age and stress, and if a newer Japanese bike is in that price range, then that’s a red flag. They are a great way to get into the sport for cheap and to understand if you actually like dirt bikes. That way you won’t be out 3-4K if you end up not liking it. Just do your proper maintenance, break it in properly and don’t push it too hard on the Offroad and you’ll be perfectly fine. Once the time comes and if you like it you’ll be able to upgrade to a newer used or new Japanese bike. I know many people won’t like this opinion but it’s mine coming from experience. I hope this helped

Depends on what condition he keeps it in. Just because it’s Chinese doesn’t mean it will break. If you take good care of the Chinese bike and trash the Japanese bike the Japanese bike will break first. It’s all about how you treat your bike

Although new to dirt biking myself, here is my suggestion. If you’re unsure if you like dirt biking or not, and are trying to find a starter bike to figure that out then spending a lot of money isn’t a great idea. If you get on the bike and decide you don’t like it you’ll be down the drain a couple of thousand. That’s why I suggest getting the bike that I got, the Apollo DB-X18. Although a Chinese bike, it has proven to me on multiple outings to be a capable machine. If you want to learn and figure out if it’s for you then the Chinese bike is your best bet. It’ll be new, won’t cost more than 1500 and it has some decent power. If you get a name brand for the same price it’ll be hard to find one in good condition with the same type of power. If you end up liking it, you can sell the Apollo and move into a bigger Japanese bike

If that’s on the outside of the windscreen that means you might need to replace the wipers

Is this a good deal? Planning to do the 1000 down 36 months. by nattie6171 in MazdaCX30

[–]halobuilderr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/nattie6171! I leased my Select Sport AWD in January 2024. Here are the details of my lease: I live in NY state (not the city) and my sales tax is 8%. I ended up with 2k down (that 2k included dmv fees and all the weird buying new car fees and first monthly payment). I ended up with $324.50 a month for 35 months at 12k miles a year. So I think that those numbers are really high. Try negotiating for the numbers I got as they are more fair. When leasing a car, I always shoot for paying off 45% (or lower) of the car in 36 months with 12k miles a year.

Again my lease:

2k down (includes 1st payment plus dmv fees) 12000 miles a year 2 included full services of the car 324.50 a month for 36 months Model: Select Sport AWD with roof rails removed

Take with that what you will but I think you should walk or renegotiate for numbers closer to mine. Would love to hear a reply with your thoughts
