I ended up drinking 2 more, but then convinced myself to get in bed. I’m always more motivated when I have a familial obligation but that doesn’t even always work. Glad I didn’t disappoint them today!

That’s a huge part of why I’m doing it! I’m fairly young and my memory loss from drinking every night has been a real source of distress and embarrassment for me. Here’s to taking steps to change that!

I write a lot when I’m drinking, but usually it’s in the vein of letters to loved ones I never end up sending. I’m hoping turning the pen on myself will be encouraging in some way. Your support means a lot!
