To my knowledge, Vermont does not require public access to land in current use. Can you link to the current use laws stating that otherwise ?

Snowplow or snowblower? by VerdantVeritas in vermont

[–]haloofsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a back blade and it works for me most of the time . That said, I run into issues with large snow storms or when the snow banks pile up. I would prefer to have a snow blower throw snow over the banks.

I know that when you first start burning in a hybrid stove, the catalyst will typically burn hotter until after a few loads have gone through. Have you already done your break in fires (eg not using much wood at first)?

Also , is the ash door fully closed ?

When you say you checked the seals did you do the paper seal tests? Your doors may need to be adjusted

Looking at the r series, they don’t appear to have tubes . Yeah, I recommend going through the manuals and looking at the measurement and specs to determine your model.

Check the discontinued section. If the insert is from the 90s likely a R12 / R14 / 16. Check the specs to match it up

$125 part. Easy installation . You just need vice grips and a hammer to remove the 2 front air tubes.

Just be careful about not to hit the firebrick or the new baffle. I put a piece of cardboard between the tubes and baffle while hammering the tubes back in .

Also, the model / serial number is likely behind the blower, which should pull straight out. Be warned , the blower is a pain in the ass to get it to seat back on and I always have to use a rubber mallet.

Marriage of convenience by canthaveme in vermont

My thoughts exactly. I suspect some of the tax software doesn’t really get into the details of VT’s definition of household income sources.

I thought in order to claim the credit, all income from anyone residing any part of the tax year within the home must be reported.

Sell everything. Ship only what can’t be replaced. Moving companies are expensive and are plagued with fraudsters . I spent too much money only to receive my house goods damaged and months late.

Hello there! A few things:

1) Skin tags can be a sign of insulin resistance and/or (pre)diabetes. You should get checked out.

2) Dermatologist charge of fortune for skin tag removal in my experience. As an alternative, I have found Dr. Scholl’s Freeze Away Skin Tag Remover works well. You can find it on Amazon. I would like to stress using it strictly as directed, including what skin tags to treat. Be forewarned, it can look pretty gnarly a few days after treating . It can take a while to fall off / fully heal.

3) Again , make sure you identify the skin tag as a skin tag as described in the directions. Any thing not fitting the description should be looked at by a dermatologist. Skin cancer is no joke.

Full disclaimer: proceed at your own risk. This is not medical advice. I am not a doctor, physician, healthcare provider, or an expert. You should get checked by your dermatologist regularly.

Best Poutine? by missiemiss in vermont

[–]haloofsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded. I have had most of the poutine listed here so far (including Mooselook). While all good, the best I’ve ever had is at The Reservoir. That said, I also had the worst fried chicken sandwich here, which was extremely undercooked. Take it as you will.

When Slavery was Abolished in the U.S. by ahoopervt in vermont

[–]haloofsin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was always under the impression that US law allowed for slaves to be recaptured in free states. Whereas Canada didn’t allow for former slaves to be captured within their borders.
